>>10636316>colour balance matters more in my bookThis. I like doing color-matching squads, but what looks best, I think, is squads that all operate from a larger shared palette. Not every bot needs to be "in uniform", but there needs to be some color overlap.
The exception to this rule, for me, is white. It's such a bold color that if you have it, I feel it does look best if it's part of the uniform. The little white shoulderpiece on Repugnus in picrel bothers me, but the rest of his colors match well enough that I can overlook it.
