Pic-related is my photo-edited mockup of a Black Manta custom I'm contemplating. Thing is, I can't decide which look I want best so I thought I'd ask here: which color scheme looks more striking and which one feels more appropriate given the body type used?
A bit of context, left is inspired from the character's appearance in JUSTICE by Alex Ross, and it's meant to have a retro deep sea diver vibes which is what Manta's helmet was originally based on. Right is inspired from his modern appearances in the New 52/Rebirth comics which ditches the silver neck in favor of adding red lines on top of black, simulating the gill slits of a Manta Ray.
Any thoughts? It should be noted that I already have two separate figures based on either appearances, rather I just want a Black Manta figure that looked to be wearing a technologically-advanced deep sea diver suit compared to his usual wetsuit look, and I'm just torn between the two color schemes.
