Feels good to have the complete trio, i had held off on him for ages cuz i knew he was mid, but nothing else in mainline scale is coming anytime soon and it woulda felt weird having no weirdwolf or especially weird using the generations version which is a fine figure on its own. Generations skullcruncher is probably my fave of the mainline trio and he stands up to fp pretty well, but fansproject mindwipe is absolutely untouchable, probably one of my fave figures, so he deserves a complete squad.
I know Weirdwolf was very early for fp, but honestly what were they thinking for some of these choices. The way the legs flip around is cool in theory, but the knees dont secure in anyway so theyre constantly splitting when you try to pose him. The shoulders being so limited also really sucks for a swordsman, could really have used an interior hinge in the shoulders for more range. The thumbs are also extremely silly, even worse than Skullcruncher.
But he does look quite nice, has that chunky early 3p aesthetic I really love. I also enjoy the way his sword opens at the hilt to tab in to multiple points on his thighs or shoulders. The red plastic on his cockpit looks great and catches from being making his torso glow red which rules. Speaking of the torso the way it double hinge transformers up is really neat, and while his legs are a bit finicky they do have good range and as always the fp headmaster looks great.
