>>8565007I still have dreams of going to 80's Target and browsing through their aisles, going into the cheapshit section and finding neat green army soldier figures of different types.
I even have dreams of going to KB, but near closing time. It's almost a nightmare, because i enter the mall at the opposite end of where KB is, but i don't know how to get there.
So by the time i get to KB, i have like 2 minutes to browse through their pegs. Sometimes i find cool shit, but other times I don't just as they announce they closed. As I'm walking down the aisle in disappointment, i find a peg mixed with different toylines and the toys i want. I desperately grab through them as an employee is walking toward me to say i need to pay or leave.
I miss every fucking department store having a toy section. JC Penny, Mervins, Broadway, etc etc etc.
The internet and stores emulating Walmart's practices killed a lot of the toy industry and their practices.
And to answer OP's question, i was solidly in middle class. I usually worked for my money, but would get my parents to help pay for more expensive stuff. I used my little brother to get more toys.
