The toy industry was really ramping up during this time. McFarlane was increasing articulation, adding more detail, and buying up licenses left and right. Companies like Palisades, Mezco, NECA, Kaiyodo, ArtFX and many others were stepping up with their own lines.
Dolls were entering premium territory. High quality clothes, replicas and other amazing shit we never saw before.
Diecast replicas companies were upping their game as well.
Tons of stores started to sell collectibles and we started seeing hipstershit toys popping up during this time.
So the early 00s was a very hype time.
Mid-late 00s was when we saw a crash, and that was thanks to Chinese workers getting rights and companies like KB and Sam Goodys going bust.
