In the past I tried using fabric dye to color model parts, but had no luck. However, I found some dye made for synthetic fabrics and I decided to try it again. After 20 minutes in "chocolate brown" dye, I've got some pretty striking results.

The arm part on the far right was left in the longest, at a full 30 minutes cooking in the dye. It gets pretty dark at that point, 15-20 minutes seems like the right level of brown.
