The guy and a lot of his fans views all their collections as almost art installations than what they actually are, a bunch of toys on a shelf. It's why fanstoys and even xtransbots and KFC got away with making shit transformers that look great in robot mode, if you throw them on a shelf and never transform it it cant be bad. Meanwhile the third party market is expanding into the more Japanese side of g1 or the more artist driven designs, zeta raiden, mmc star convoy, t beast from multiple companies, and those spino beast bots even, it just dosen't fit in with the g1er shelf only collector
