With current technology sometimes I would like to make a custom body based on other dolls proportions akin to making Descendants/EAH with MTM articulations for example, I do 3D stuff but 3D print is just one step and doesn't produce a reliable piece, even if it were for "collectors" I like to make stuff as sturdy as a doll for playing would be.
