Hasbro deserved to lose the license for how hard they dropped the ball with Batman Beyond("uh, lets just slap this scrapped Batman line's molds with a new head and say its Beyond) and Mattel is the biggest toy company in the world. For Hasbro, in 2001 Batman's future in media looked somewhat dim(and they only really leaned into Batman those last few years); Beyond ended,no new movies in sight, JL cartoon would require more tooling and less popular characters, just to consider Hasbro's POV.
