Madam Woe was one of the more iconic monsters from Season 1 that never got an action figure back in the day (although she was in the fighting game on the Sega Genesis). She's also notable for being the first female monster in MMPR. And if they're planning on at least 12 waves of Ultimates, who's to say they won't be doing Mutaytus and Cyclopsis? Especially Cyclopsis, since there are only so many humanoid Zords to go around.

Most of the Lightning Collection monsters don't look half bad, honestly (Pumpkin Rapper, Eye Guy, Pudgy Pig, Pirantis Head, Snizard). Pumpkin Rapper and especially Pudgy Pig look particularly great. Their main problem is their size. The LC King Sphinx is the only one that looks objectively shit, I'd say.

Shell Shock is my #1 favorite MMPR monster, if Super 7 makes a good version of him I am gonna purchase that shit immediately.

desu I don't own any, I am just going off pics, but the cheap look is a real turnoff to me, like how they didn't even paint in Pumpkin Rappers' eyes and mouth. Yes, the real suit was not painted, but light and shadow work very differently at different scales, meaning the show suit always looks dark within those recesses, and the Hasbro just looks like an orange blob. Their failure to realize this is the kind of sloppiness I just can't get down with, especially at deluxe prices.

King Sphinx's sculpt and paint are just a horror show. Pirantishead is very inaccurate, but still looks good to me. Haven't seen the others in person yet so I'll reserve judgement until then.

Show accuracy wasn't their priority, Bandai was just designing the toys in a way they thought was appealing to kids. Same reason they added thunderbolts to the DX Zord releases.

People initially thought MMPR Green and Zeo Red were in the same wave because they leaked together. This is a similar leak to those, so there's no sense of where they fit in. They could even be two-packs. Hasbro seemed to be hinting at a Galaxy/Psycho Pink two-pack last year, and Dino Thunder Black would make a lot of sense being packed with Zeltrax. Dino Thunder could certainly use a villain now that the team will be complete. No, I don't count White.

The next wave of two-packs is yet to be revealed so it would certainly make a lot of sense if that's what these figures are from. We also already had the next wave leaked, with Zoe and Koda being officially revealed to verify the contents of said wave (the other figures in it should be Izzy and a Putrid). Furthermore the next wave only currently exists as renders, while these weapons are clearly from a production run, so LG Pink and DT Black should in theory be released before the next wave. Two-packs seem like the most logical thing to me. As for SPD Yellow? Could be a store or fan channel exclusive similar to what they did with A-Squad.

Even if the likenesses can be hit and miss, I'm glad to have representations of the characters beneath the helmets. The fact that we got civilian Space Ranger heads after over 20 years is pretty awesome, and the thought of getting someone like Trey even after Hasbro started the LC seemed highly unlikely as Jason is the more popular choice. If we ever get Aquitians I will forgive all the stupid shit Hasbro has done up until that point.

Sometimes I wish I collected beyond MMPR with LC. I limited myself to MMPR only though because it's my favorite and the one I enjoyed the most as a kid, even if I did watch regularly up through In Space. I just wouldn't display the other teams in the same way I would MMPR so I skipped them. Plus Hasbro likes to be nice and inconsistent as hell with this line making some teams have mismatching members.

Anyone have suggestions for disassembling the Retro Zords? I'd love to make some kit bashes with them but they haven't made it easy. There's screws in the back of the shoulders, but removing them does nothing. The hips seem to be on balls, but they're enclosed by 2-part hard plastic thighs, which means heat probably won't allow them to pop off. I'm fairly certain the forearms and lower legs are held on by clips similar to the way the Lion Thunderzord pieces snap onto the Mega Tigerzord (see picrel). For the kit bashes I'm wanting to make all I really need is to remove the arms and lower legs, but can't figure out how the hell to do it without damaging the figures in the process.

Making these in a way that was modular would have probably cost no more money, and could have added more play value to them. It had a much more tongue-in-cheek tone, and played with and explored MMPR's conventions without outright mocking them.

For starters the main cast acted more realistically, wasn't really friends and sometimes outright antagonistic towards each other, but managed to put their differences aside long enough to get the job done. Their mentor was less of a wise sage and more a beleaguered manager dealing with temp workers. One of the characters gets busted by their parents for their constant absences, tells the truth and winds up getting forced into therapy for their troubles. Another member gets injured during a battle and has to be replaced for an episode. Things like that.

Also the fact that it was a completely original property that managed to stay so close to the spirit of PR and it's contemporaries without borrowing footage from a Japanese show was commendable.

Follow up to another reply, anyone else scooping things up in the GameStop clearance? Every GS locally has put In Space Pink/Black, SPD Alpha Red, SPD Green, Pink 2-pack, Pudgy Pig, and pretty much everything else other than the just-released ones on the 50% clearance, meaning the single figures are $10 each, Pig is $15, and the 2-pack is $17.99. Pink Helmet is $40, Zedd helmet is $50, and the big statues with characters standing on power coins are very reduced (Ranger Slayer is $16, I saw Rita at $28, Zedd is $24, etc)

You're way off base. People don't have the ire for Justin they did 25 years ago. Hell many of his haters were happy to see him return a year later for his In Space episode. The rest of the team would have no trouble selling either given both casts are very popular. Hasbro doesn't need to trick people into buying Turbo figures. Now that MMPR, Zeo, and In Space are complete, and Dino Thunder is about to be, Turbo is one of the more popular remaining teams.

The Turbo movie is very underrated. It's the truest to Power Rangers of the three films we got. Spandex suits, practical monsters and Zords, kickass rock music from Wasserman and friends, while having a marked improvement in cinematography, lighting, and sound design compared to the show. No, just some US footage suits that had the MMPR red helmet repainted. The show itself was mostly 5+ year old toku footage from metal heroes shows. Part of the reason saban couldn't replicate Power rangers success(besides middling ratings), was that there just wasn't enough modern material.

Was able to get the Kat Zeo/S3 Pink box set at my local gamestop for $20. Thought about getting a couple of extra Bridge/SPD Green figures for customs, but decided to wait until later this week if I do so. Might also pick up the Foot Soldier Tommy/Red Turtle Ranger two pack as well if only for the Tommy alt head.

Kat was the replacement Pink Ranger, that took over the role when the actress who played Kimberly left the series.

She's pretty much one of the most polarizing characters on the show, because they introduced her as a scheming cunt who was working for Rita to destroy Kim. With the added bonus being that she wanted to steal Tommy from Kim on top of stealing Kimberly's Ranger coin that is the source of her power. The cat toy comes from the fact that her first couple of appearances implied she was a cat that Rita turned human and was evil-evil.

In the three part story where she became the Pink Ranger, they retconned Kat as being human after all and "under a spell that made her evil" to whitewash her bad acts against Kimberly and Tommy, culminating in Kimberly personally selecting Kat (once she turned on Rita) to become the new Pink Ranger. At which point, the show started pushing her HARD as Tommy's love interest and even having Kimberly write a "dear john" letter to Tommy in season four/Zeo to further justify forcing the pair together before climaxing in a Christmas episode which had a future scene that established that Kat and Tommy eventually do get married and have kids.

As stated above, Kimberly fans HATE Kat and were the reason why the character was never mentioned in Dino Thunder when Tommy came back. And one of the reasons why the Boom comics are firmly planted in season one due to wanting Kim front and center. And why Saban opted to have her voice one of the Beetleborg repaint villains than have her show up on camera in Forever Red. Ironically though, the actress who plays Kimberly is a big Kimberly/Skull shipper and even suggested when approached to do a cameo in Forever Red, that they reveal that Skull/Kimberly were married (the Kimberly cameo sadly never happened due to scheduling conflicts with her then current gig on Felicity).

As for having two versions of her in the two pack: the two pack was announced when the Pink MMPR Ranger was in super high demand and this was a way to get the figure out to fans, before they said fuck it and did the metallic armor/cell shaded release and two, they stuck the Zeo version in there because they wanted to get people to double dip.

Originally in promo material, it was separate from Sentai with the Dino Megazord being way taller at 333 feet but also absurdly lighter than Daizyujin at 86 tons
These stats were being used as late as the Legacy line
Right now the Zord website uses the Sentai stats

The scale in the comics is also all over the place with the size of the Megazord varying among artists to panels

Unfortunately this is an instant buy for me. We are never going to get any other kind of highly articulated Legacy sized Astro Megaship from anyone else.
