The cool thing about Transformers was that it didn't have a "star", even though faction leaders usually got the biggest toys or you'd have an extra Optimus in a year, but for the most part a $10 toy got the same treatment as a $20 or $30 one. They all got a bio, card art, stats, etc, and the packaging is just general Transformers packaging. When the franchise loses its way is when you have one character as the star on the cards(Beast Machines Cheetor) or a line where a character gets a bunch of toys over any other in a year( Bumblebee's many variants) It stops being a toyline where everyone's important to one where one character is prominent over all others.
