>>10050452>they're quite clearly just vehicle shell panels split along natural seamlinesHow about you take another look at Barricade then
>>10050397Please tell me how ANY of those bends, crumples, and folds are "natural seamlines". Just look at his fucking shoulders, for fuck's sake. It's literally a chunk of the wheel well mangled up and mashed there, tire and all, and just kind of floats above his shoulders like awkward paldrons.
>As for Megatron, bear in mind they were going for the "terrifying alien warlord" lookYou don't need to be made of random spikes and barbs to look terrifying or imposing. Also, they kinda failed by giving him those fucking metal nonsense Salad Fingers claws. Nothing about that looked imposing and looked more like he just had his hands blown off and replaced by shitty mixing hooks.
>And also that Megatron had taken a whole range of different forms up to that point.Megatron has had 5 forms in the movies and only two of them looked any good. His first 2 forms were some of the most egregious offenders in any of the movies as there was nothing distinguishable about them beyond a vague shape of a body. His 3rd form as the rusted tanker truck was actually pretty cool and given the fact he was like that BECAUSE he got his ass handed to him and was in hiding actually legitimized the scrap look a bit better. Then there was Galvatron which did look more like a robot, sure, but good lord was it fucking goofy and stupid looking. Then there was his TLK form which happened because reasons, and while it made no sense, it admittedly did look decent and shockingly coherent. However, it had the exact same problem as TLK Prime mentioned here
>>10050403 where nothing about its design gave any indication it was a transformer. It just looked like a knight inspired robot and nothing more.
