I would really just like a modern episode 19 beast eva-01, the SOC SPEC is great, but mostly because there's no other articulated figure that goes for that specific look, and it definitively feels a little outdated by now.

The rest of the evas would be a bonus, a blue eva-00 would be nice for sure tho.

Oh, I only have the SPECs eva wise, other than some stuff here and there, so it's posible the newer stuff may not be MILES better, if nothing else because I just don't have it, and to be fair, I still love my SPECS. It's more curiosity to see how it could be done today, that said I do hate how all the parts fall apart sometimes when I try to pose them, and I feel at the very least making them not have armor would improve posability a little. They having armor pieces it's a cool feature tho, maybe today a sweet spot can be achieved?

Gonna be honest with you, I had the model kit and it was enough for me. Really fiddly being, absolutely my favorite angel design, but it just makes an ass toy for posing. It's all top heavy and shit on literal stilts. I would rather buy the kaiyodo statue than the three zero at this point.

Rewatching NGE for the first time in many years, and found that I really, really, really want a Unit-01 figure. Not a basic bitch $20-$40 one, but a really nice one that's probably a couple hundred dollars, probably like 1:8 scale or something.

You're fucked if that's what you want, Evas are ~80 meters tall. If you just want a size able articulated Eva 01 from NGE, then you're also fucked because they never made one before the shitbuilds and now companies refuse to make merchandise for the original series. If you have no sense of taste go for the Dynaction 01, I can't imagine it would be hard to find and it's pretty big. If you like the NGE design then the Bandai XS-01R is probably the best option available, but it's only ~8 inches tall. Aside from the weird paint choice on the chest and jaw, it's a great figure that comes with a bunch of accessories that you wouldn't get today. (Personally I really like the ability to swap and remove part to create the look from EoE)

Anon, eighty meters divided by eight is ten meters. That's almost 33 feet tall. Gundams are 18 meters tall and popular scales for those are 1/144, 1/100/ and 1/60. You're better off ignoring scale.

That was the metallic version, yeah I think it was called night combat tbf. I wouldn't worry too much, they'll probably renew unit 01 a few times because it's the most popular unit. Or just snag one for a reasonable price if you're shitting bricks over missing out.
It might be worth waiting for the awakening version that is bound to make an appearance at some point.

Threezero's quality has always been pretty good. Sturdy, modern articulation, good paint apps, great sculpt. Articulation will probably be near to SHF levels but nothing too surprising. I also don't hear as many QC nightmare stories about their releases compared to everyone else's.

Threezero stuff have always been very fairly priced. Even their bigger ones have always been a bang for your buck kind of experience. They offer great customer service too, each figure comes with a one year warranty so you can ask them for replacement parts and such.

Not that anon, and I wouldn't quite call it "breaking down," but I have noticed that diecast joints do not take well to tightening once they loosen. Examples: old SHF ankle joints, or SRC/SoC. I have tried every tried-and-true plastic tightening method, but it just won't take on diecast for whatever reason. So at least as far as I can tell, once diecast joints loosen, there isn't much you can do.

Actually speaking of Asuka, thinking of doing a printable figure kit for her (it's Shortstack-anon at it again). I do want to make one in her plugsuit as she appeared in the TV series, but also tempted to do some fun original designs for her too. Got a few ideas:
>MILF Asuka (inspired by my retarded idea for the latter two Eva films if they'd gotten even goofier/more Action Arc-y, complete with everyone being aged up for delicious MILF pilots)
>"Realistic" Asuka (because realistic takes on anime characters never end up bad, right?)
>Absolute WHORE Asuka (because whilst she does have a good design and is TBF a well written character, at least in the TV series, Asukafags are insufferable and she IS a stroppy bitch, karmic excuse or not)
Also a Rei and other characters will follow- and because they'll probably be free and distributed for printing digitally, the cast won't stop with Rei and Asuka!

I have been disappointed for a long time that that they never include a blue version of 00 in the rebuild movies, they had 15 years to fit it in somewhere (same for the mass production model which is one of my favourite Evas).

I made this a while ago, I tried to come up with an approximation of what all the Evas would look like with TV colours - but it also includes what a potential Blue 00 and mass Prod Eva could have looked like.

The ending is that instrumentality happens and anyone who chooses to continue to live can come back. This is extremely obvious and is made explicit in End of Evangelion. Don't be a retard. NGE made complete sense and isn't hard to understand at all. The ONLY things people get confused about in Eva is the completely nonsense techno-jargon they use to describe certain things. Other than that, it is an EXTREMELY simple and easy to understand story about a boy with huge issues who has to save the world and just can't cope with the horrors he has to witness. This is BRAINDEAD FUCKING SIMPLE storytelling.
