Toys R Us just relaunched their toysrus.co.uk website for britbongs.

The web site is slow from all the traffic but I managed to get some toys there. Support them so they don't disappear again.

Anyone else ever work at a Toys R Us? I cashiered there for a few months during the Christmas season the year before they shut down, but the store was almost always empty so I spent most of my time just facing shelves, doing reshop, and wandering the floor.
There was something very soulful and nostalgic feeling about wandering through a huge empty toy store with Christmas music playing. Probably the only time I've ever actually enjoyed my job.

Jesus Christ, why don't they just let Toys R Us rest in peace? I have so many fond childhood memories of it, but to keep seeing it try to make a comeback only to close for the umpteenth time is depressing.

The one time i FINALLY go to New York, all that's left to see is Nintendo World. I missed Pokemon Center and TRU because I couldnt afford it nor even had further reason

Yeah ... but we like to keep the lie that Mitt Romney buying Tru and then dumped so much debt into it that no matter what they did they could never get above water was the reason that they folded to debt and went bankrupt.

Having been to one, its not terrible. It has a decent amount of space. No aisles or anything, just shelves. Some are smaller than others. On the bright side, prices are surprisingly MSRP, not overpriced like department stores tend to be, and they had a decent variety of stock. Looked nicer than my local walmarts.

They had nothing, anon. What they have, Target, Walmart and some mom/pop mall store/kiosk already have. It's best use is that kids get less bored when they go "better clothes" shopping
