It's no better or worse to collect than any other mainstream toy line, but it can't be kinda expensive depending on what you want. Me? I don't try to compete with hardcore tf guys, I stick to what I like and gloss over everyone else hyping up a new release. I like the studio series 86 stuff and some generation selects stuff personally.
