Haven gone through the archive, there aren't too many of the old paint schemes I wish I could have gotten. Several of the Halloween ones are some of them.

Others are the Fisher Price robot, the 2 Scarabites, and any basic mostly black or white styles.
I like a lot of the other tributes, but I don't have much of a strong need to get them.

don't waste your money on shit brands.

In general, only buy reputable brands (Tamiya, Citadel, Vallejo, Liquitex, etc). They contain more pigment which means you can use less paint with thinner coats, which makes your work look nicer.

Not sure if there are any reputable brands for glow in the dark though, aside from the standard green. I think I've only ever seen blue and green anyway, unless it's for florescent.

Thanks for that. I'm paining a cray today (pic related) and one layer of the paint I'm using (D&D Army Painter) is way too thick. Was considering thinning it with turp next time. Only my first bash at a custom so it was bound to be rough, I'll prolly touch it up and give it a bit of black wash to hide the flaws.

as the other guy said, water your paint down by half.

If they're water based acrylics (most hobby paints), use 50/50 ratio of water and alcohol (90%) as a way to thin the paint. This'll make the paint flow better off the brush and spread evenly.

Also, a wash won't hide the flaws on thick paint. It'll make it more apparent. If i were you, i'd strip the paint off with alcohol or simple green and a toothbrush. redo it.

stay away from enamel paints.

Jesse can afford to pay that because his Patreon alone pulls in $4-5,000 a month (https://graphtreon.com/creator/jessedestasio), not counting other sources of revenue like the web shop, convention sales, Twitch streams, ToyPizzaCon, Kickstarters, Etc. So when he's the only Glyos maker who in a mere 7 years time has generated 32+ toy molds, multiple comics, stickers, figure clothing, pins, postcards and accessories, I'm not surprised he can afford to run his own PVC colors. Everyone else just makes toys, and maybe some stickers, pins, a comic here or there. I don't even think they have their own Patreons, other than who, Galaxxor? It's no wonder why they're not introducing new figures while Destasio can shit a new one out every 6 months.

Glyos is cool but it's so expensive that I only buy one or two things a year.

I own TONS of Glyos, I’ve probably spent thousands, and there’s people out there who make my collection look small, who spend $500+ on a single Onell drop night like it’s nothing. Cool builds. I just post to Instagram if I feel like it, the posters there inspire me to build/design. I've tried to be creative in this place, but people here are more interested in disparaging other community members and even the creators.
