>>10087813I've never understood the ire that clones or ripoffs garner. For starters most popular things are rip offs of other once popular things. Batman was a hodgepodge of dracula, zorro, and the shadow for crying outloud. Frankly I was always happy whenever one series spawned a slew of copycats since Id have more stuff to watch. Maybe its the kind of thing you learn to appreciate the older you get. It seems like every generation has their own equivalent to a console war. Im sure kids in the 70s were arguing over whether or not jabberjaw was better than captain caveman.
As for future street sharks merch, storm collectibles was in talks for a street sharks line back in 2020. Since then nothings come of it unfortunately. If you ask me street sharks and extreme dinosaurs are the most deserving of a collector line simply because of the materials the original toys were made of. For the most part vintage tmnt or moo mesa figures hold up well. But given their gimmick of life like skin and what not, the sharks and dinos are prone to a slew of issues like degrading rubber or oily paint.
