Didn't Playmates reissue this set recently? How does the new one hold up? I think I only had the main four turtles + Rocksteady & Bebop as a kid... Maybe Shredder, too. I don't remember. I didn't get deep into the line. The carded reissue collection on my wall now is probably way more than I had as a kid.

Raph is a weird faded mint green. Everyone's shells have some weird chalky scratchy texture to them instead of the original smoothness, the forearms are soft rubbery plastic, and the weapons are really weak floppy plastic.

The turtle van reissue is alright but Playmates, for all their whining over other companies making TMNT, are generally making their own figures such shit no one wants them. My Walmart doesn't even have a TMNT section anymore in toys & just a few BST AXN in electronics.

I remember seeing these in Walmart and I was really disappointed in the quality of these. Just from memory I could tell these were off. I wanted to get Bebop, but I hated how pale his face was, and some areas are missing paint.

Yeah, I really miss the finish of 80s plastic. Lots of shiny, high quality ABS plastic back then. Today a lot of plastic toys, including these TMNT re-issues and my MOTU Origins figures all seem to have this weird soft matte finish to them. It's really ugly.
