>>10096596Replying to my own post. I am a fan of their work. They produce a quality product and they're transparent when issues arise. I backed the Kickstarter with Series 1 Sgt. Slaughter and I've bought 2 others since. I have 5 on pre-order, which are set to drop between now and Nov.
Because it's a re-birthed IP, I'm only buying what sparks interest, as I have no nostalgic pull towards any particular figure aside from Sgt. Slaughter. I skipped chars like Duster and Desert Rat as the faces don't do anything for me.
>>10096813I agree GIJ had a weird launch where weapons were either sci-fi or semi-realistic, depending on character design. There's no cohesive policy at Hasbro, which is another reason I collect Valaverse exclusively now. I wanted GIJ to be a futuristic modern-day soldier, but now it's just memberberries and bullshit. I've swapped just about every GIJ char's weapons with Valaverse weapon packs as the default ones are unpainted or look too unrealistic. The lack of additional hands makes posing and photography look weak.
