They primarily exist for hyper fixated kids to feel like they got a special treat for Halloween, only to feel disappointed as no one knows what the fuck they're supposed to be. So when you go out in this costume and no one recognizes what you are, you realize you're just in some cheap costume based on an obsession no one else is as crazy about as you.
I had a moment like that in an awful Goku costume where all the literal boomers had no idea who I was supposed to be. I wanted to die when someone asked if I was supposed to be a samurai tree.
