OPs that replace that line with something about autosage or bump limit are the paste-eating retards who shit up the board with multiple active /tfg/s. If you don't want TFG taking up 4 thread slots as a fast thread on a slow board, don't engage with those threads. Report them and move on.
The last page rule won't ever work if terminally online neet mouth breathers are dooling over their mouse to make a new thread at bump limit, sometimes even spamming the old one to push it over the line.

If you treat the bumplimit retard threads as legitimate, they will ALWAYS be posted before page 9, shitting up /toy/. If you care about the page 9 rule and want to see it enforced, this thread MUST exist.
The only way to prevent the spam is to ignore and report the bumplimit retard OPs. They're generally easy to spot since they change the OP to say something about bumplimit instead of page 9. At least one of whom is also a tripfag and shooter-in-waiting.

Considering the last 2 Haslab Transformers projects have been Victory characters, I'd say the chances of him, Liokaiser, and Landcross are pretty good. Maybe even Dinoking with all the pretender shells.

Kids these days remember Prime more than any of the actual attempts of Transformer anime that exist. It's a shame but it is what it is, at least their updated toys aren't entirely accurate because it's reached that phase of its anniversary so they aren't getting entirely what they want.

literally the only flaws are a few easily-remedied missing paint apps (well if you have a more stable hand than I do) and a pointless extra weapon that adds nothing (the sawblade is rotated 90 degrees from where it should be) and doesn't even fit in, say, Shadow Panther's hand if you wanted to palm it off.

As the anon above mentioned, he's pretty much a perfect adaptation of the character. He's missing the paint apps on his thighs but has the grooves for them sculpted in, so if you've got the right paint, you can do it yourself. Just ditch the pizza cutter he comes with (he never had that in his Season 1 body and it looks horribly out of place anyway) and he's good to go. He even has weapon storage for his web crossbow (but no storage at all for the aforementioned pizza cutter).

The Jap shows only had the briefest of windows to air in the US as first run shows alongside the DIC GI Joe episodes. And they didn't because Headmasters had an atrociously god-awful dub and Victory didn't resemble the 1989 toy line whatsoever. Only Masterforce had a snowball's chance in hell to have aired in the US and even then, if you believe the longstanding urban legend, didn't air in the US because the building where Hasbro had stored away the US dub of Masterforce that was made for foreign markets caught fire out of the blue one night and Hasbro took it as a sign from God not to continue with their plans to have Masterforce air in the US and just use the money they were going to use to market it to create a giant Optimus Prime puppet head and hand for a repackaged collection of episodes from S1-4 and call that season five.

Less and less frequent at TRU, walmart's a sad place that's usually not worth going to. Amazon sometimes has strange and neat sales like Tigatron for 50-75% off. Everyone in Canada keeps getting figures at gamestop because of their stock and cheaper price compared to TRU. Out of principle I don't want to start visiting video game stores as well for toys, but TRU's pretty horrible. Rhinox and the green knight and some legacy's still there. Waiting for Galvatron to go on sale, I don't care if it's dirty shit-shoulders Kingdom, just- please..

It was his primary 'gun' from Season 2 onwards (when he was a Transmetal), except it looked a bit different and actually fit his aesthetic, whereas the new one looks horribly out of place (especially since it's with his wrong form).

See for yourself. Hardly notable unless you were looking for it, and again, the grooves are sculpted in for you to do it yourself. The hardest part would be matching the colors, really.

It's an out-of-place accessory that was very obviously tacked on last-second. It doesn't match his organic Season 1 form at all, it can't be stowed in robot mode (his actual crossbow can, though), and it doesn't even spin like the original did. You can safely put it aside and never look at it again, and Tarantulus would still transform just fine (it just gets tabbed into a hole under his Beast Mode anyway - a hole that becomes inaccessible in robot mode). The part offers nothing for him and he's a complete figure without it - I just chucked mine in my extra weapons pile.
Oh, forgot to mention - his spider leg tips are blast-effect compatible, so if you still feel he's lacking in weaponry (which you shouldn't), you can recreate his whole 'machinegun legs' thing from the show as well.

What you see is what you get, the individual 'bots' don't have robot modes, its basically just 6 vehicles combined into Devastator. And his articulation is passable. At such an asking price of that I think Studio Series is just the way to go.

Oh ok, sorry, I was ambiguous about weapon storage. I meant "the storage for shit in vehicle mode" rather than "place for robot to holster it". I love Tigatron but I'm putting the tail whip aside in bot mode and putting the gutgun aside in tiger mode, it's a tiny bit ridiculous. But I do like cute freebies, so I wouldn't hate the saw. But I'm also someone who'd buy the freebie Wheelie for like $2-5 each.

Yes, it was a sawblade that (somehow) functioned like an uzi on the show - he never actually used it to cut anything. However, since he spent most of Season 2 onwards actually avoiding combat and working on his actual mission behind the scenes, you hardly see him with it (I think the only time you actually see it is in The Coming of the Fuzors Part 2).

yeah they got hilariously creative on the show inventing new weapons for them.. it's not even just that they'd already established this is a show full of firefights, and they are used to writing episodes around them, it's the fact that mainframe is TERRIBLE at melee combat. and I don't blame 'em, most of the principles of good physical action involve deformation and/or flexion in a manner that these models wouldn't do right, and impacts which wouldn't work super well without collision models, which they weren't about to start adding to everyone.

Yeah that might be why I was having trouble remembering his main/other weapon(s).
Fuck I want more BW and transmetal stuff, but Kingdom's been rare and expensive (tfw missed even Ratcrap and Soundwave), think I might be better off getting the old toys when Legacy/etc get released. Albeit uh, approximately 30% of my TM Airazor's flakes have flaked off.

Got these four in the past week. Bulkhead really impressed me. Picked him up on a whim since he was on sale and and he's a very solid voyager with a unexpectedly fun transformation, if not a bit on the bland side visually. Had been considering Blitzwing for a while and he ended up being better than I expected too. I think his robot mode looks great, he feels really solid, and his engineering is pretty impressive even if his jet mode still has a tank hanging off of it. I know it's kind of an unpopular sentiment but I'm a big fan of the legacy prime Arcee mold, so I'm quite happy with Flamewar. She's got a very striking deco and the purple translucent plastic really looks cool. Can't say I care for Flamewar's battle master though. SS86 Arcee is Arcee. Her backpack is big and her transformation isn't as terrible as kingdom Arcee's. Overall I'm feeling better about this group than I did after I ordered them. Was honestly considering returning everyone but Flamewar while they were in transit.

Personally, it's my least favorite of the three. Headmasters, despite it's flaws, at least has something going on for it with Chromedome basically just pulling Hot Rod part 2 for his character arc, and Scorponok's decepticons feel like a genuine threat, whereas the ones in Victory never seem to accomplish anything of worth and the Autobots are dreadful, unlikeable dullards.

When the hell did you watch them? They've had all episodes subtitled (multiple times!) for over a decade now, whereas Exkaiser only got fansubs within the past few years or so. I actually had to start watching Braves with Fighbird way back and that probably was for the better because I enjoyed it a lot more than I did Exkaiser when I finally got around to seeing that one. Which is weird because they're ostensibly very similar, but I think what made Fighbird so much more watchable than Exkaiser was that I just never found the Geisters too credible as a threat as they were just alien thieves who were played too much as a joke, compared to Draias who literally feeds on suffering.

G1 cartoon S1-2 are hilarious, fun, and have really fast-paced action; especially S2.
The 86 Movie is a really good feature-length music video (I mean this in a positive way)
Beast Wars S1 is one of the best TF shows made, but S2-3's plots are sorely dragged down by needing to constantly detour and advertise really ugly toys (no matter how much I liked the idea of Megatron's dino heelies and VTOLs).
Armada was clearly rushed and the dub is unwatchable garbage, but the JP w/subs is alright; definitely slightly more nuanced writing at least. Even still the show only gets REALLY good during the last 5 eps; they just didn't have enough plot to stretch over that many episodes in so little production time. Wish we got a proper continuation on Prime's last-minute character development in the finale, that coulda been really interesting.
The first two Bay films are amazing action movies and their scripts are fine, people don't appreciate enough how much damn work was put into the action choreography, special effects (real explosions, it wasn't all just CGI!), the ACTUALLY GOOD CGI, or the disgustingly-underrated SFX/sound design - all that shit deserves praise. Movies 3-5 are boring garbage though.
Animated is the best Transformers show. The Headmaster is the best villain.
Didn't read IDW's MTMTE until last month and it's fighting TFA in my head for my favorite story, it's what I've personally always been wanting: silly space adventures with stupid fucking idiots and hilariously edgy villains. It's the type of stories kid-me came up with, but actually written well. Idk about the rest of IDW.
TF Prime killed my dog.
Cyberverse is innocent enough.
Bumblebee movie is good.

Everything listed above is fact and law, and not up for debate. If something's not listed here then either I haven't gotten to it yet, or if it's Energon/Headmasters/Masterforce then I don't really care enough.

Yeah, I get what they were going for - Fireglide is supposed to be an approximation for her Energeon bow, so rather than using him as an axe or blaster like normal, you're supposed to keep his head extended, flip his wings as far forward as possible, unfold his handle/laser barrel, and have her hold him sideways like in pic related. Still kinda sucky, but they weren't going to make a brand-new weapon for a repaint. At least he'll make a good mini Terrorsaur stand-in for that one anon who was collecting mini versions of the whole Beast Wars cast - as I recall, he was using Pteraxadon, who's the wrong colors.

This is the actual problem. The figures in question aren't really anything special, but they're being sold for over double what they're worth. I paid for Star Saber but he's only barely worth it with Victory Leo. There's not really anyone they could sell with Deathsaurus, but he's the same price. To be fair, everything from this lineup isn't exactly popular or expensive because none of them save Greatshot are actually good representations of the characters. As far as recent stuff goes there's the monsterbots, at the very least you should be able to get Twinferno pretty easily and he's the most kaiju-y one anyways. WFC's mistake was having inner Magnus' arms incorporate into the armored mode, which fucks with the white bot since it requires him to be wide. The arms should be formed by the trailer's beams while the torso folds into cab mode (of course, that requires them to fix WFC's cab as well).
Armor or no armor, any G1 Ultra Magnus will have a transformation where the cab forms the chest, the inner bot is just a few extra steps.
Hell, there was a 3rd party white Optimus made to fit into CW Magnus that proves it works.

Engineering, materials, QC and paints have all been severely downhill since KD wave 3. Waves 1 and 2 were amazing, SS were great, and then suddenly everything is an embarrassment. I would post more toys but the only things I've bought in the last year have been waiting 2 months for me to pick up, but I'm not exactly excited for Jhiaxus knowing he's virtually guaranteed to yellow in a few months and Tarantulas is just whatever. Same with waiting on Inferno seeing he's saddled with fake parts despite being the simplest of beastformers, and Crankcase with the entire front of his car mode partsforming into one of the shittiest guns yet.
It's all fucking lazy and awful and has sapped all enjoyment out of a line that was previously some of the best on the market for the price point, which is made even worse now that deluxes are fucking $40 after tax in my country.

Well, they didn't use the original designs because the original toys aren't that old in the grand scheme of the franchise, and they likely felt the original Prime designs would clash in a line that was mostly G1 with some BW. And the new designs aren't that good because the current designers just aren't that competent combined with Hasbro being stingier with budget and at least one Prime figure being a pre-tool for a G2 character.

All of those are much more similar in aesthetic to each other. Prime went fairly different, being much closer to the Bay movie aesthetics, while also having stylized super hero proportions and design quirks like the nose-less faces. If Legacy included Animated character designs completely unaltered, you'd have a point, but so far, aside from Prime, all the series it has included look fairly similar design-wise.

Anyone got any thoughts on this old thing? On the one hand, it looks nothing like Megatron, and I'm not a fan of the 'Kissplayers 2.0' human girl figure that comes with him (though I can easily just feed her to one of my Gnaws and ignore her), but on the other, it still looks pretty cool and is the least awkward looking of the three (Prime, Starsaber, and Fort Maximus all just look so wrong as race cars). Car mode looks cool, and it seems like he'd be good to repurpose as a separate character, since his head doesn't really look like Megs to begin with.

Horribly so. Even keeping in mind that this is a race car that's stripped down to the bare essentials and not a passenger vehicle with a focus on legroom and passenger space, she's still way too big for the car and can't even fit inside despite the fact that Megs' doors open and his dashboard and driver's seats are all sculpted and detailed.

I like this idea. Sort of like a Decepticon version of Hotrod who never actually makes something of himself. Just need a good name for him.
All that aside, I'm still curious about the mold in general - what poseability is like, if there are any flaws/issues with the thing that I should be aware of, etc. I know he's supposedly got diecast parts on him somewhere, and I'm wondering what kind of issues those could have created in the 10 years since this thing came out.

Shortstack-anon of customs general infamy here. Finally picked Blender back up, at the suggestion of a friend I started doing a female BW Basic-esque gecko TF. Coming along quite well. Well at the moment the scale isn't determined, but Blender does have units options, so when the basic engineering and sculpting are done I'll scale the whole thing to the size I want and then add any ports that need to be precisely sized. I'm not the best person to ask as I'm a total amateur but there are ways around it.

oh good point. i always forget how old transformers are
actually that's kind of one of the more significant things in beast wars that gets ignored because A) they never talk about their past and B) Mainframe was making up the story as they went. the fact that all of these characters are all but explicitly under 400 years old, probably significantly under. The idea of decepticons being reformatted as predacons is treated as novel enough that presumably that's not true of any of the main cast. so at some point a WHOLE lot of new cybertronians were born who are still eons younger than those who shaped their society and fought the war that changed it into what it is now. They're kind of like.. when a whole fuckton of immigrants move into a place at once, and now all of their kids are of a particular generation and they're more naturalized.

Shield turns into the tip of his tail, his botmode legs form most of the tail, already told you.

Do you have grimlock? almost the same transformation, but the bird chest is smaller cause the wings flip to the front during transformation (robot chest is the bird back, bird back is the robot chest).

I'd rather someone not do that. Just let there be one thread for once. If your worry is some certain anon attempting to make a new thread early thanks to the lack of the "proper" disclaimer, they'd have likely done it regardless if it had been there or not. If it does happen maybe the stars can align and enough anons report it and mods actually do something. If we're less luck then sure, go ahead and continue with this feud and make a "proper" thread. Or was it that I expressed that I'd prefer to prioritize keeping the generals from cluttering the board than spiting some obnoxious twat(s) and make the threads "correctly" that makes me incapable of pattern recognition (when I didn't even say that that should be completely avoided as an option, it's literally there in my post). I still like it for the funny aspect but I just prefer the toy head so much more. I assume it's one of those things like Galaxy Shuttle where it's been around since Grapple was designed, but I have to wonder if using it for Hauler was the original intent.
