Do your figures hold well on their own?
Would they break from a fall?
are their stands and protective glasses enough?
even in low magnitudes an earthquake might be worrisome

Use this stuff to stick them down to a shelf. It's a microcrystalline wax used by museums to secure display items. Won't damage most plastics and paints. Easy to remove. You can find it online and at most major hardware stores.

I lived in California for 15 years before moving back to Pennsylvania. I'm happy to be free of earthquakes but not happy that the terrible thunderstorms are back in my life.

Not an earthquake, but a building exploded near my house (it was like a mile away but debris was present all over my property) and caused the ground to shake. Stuff flew off my shelves but thankfully it was nothing breakable. I will say some of my figures are more enduring then others.
