Hey lads - looking to grab a mate a gift and he's into scale models (seen him painting cars and he was/is into Warhammer) y'all got any advice? Is Tamiya good quality? I don't really want to spend alot.

Cars? German tank maby?

American muscle cars are almost all from American brands based off toolings from the 70s-80s and therefore pretty bad quality but if he's already into it he's probably fine dealing with the quality issues

Tamiya are great quality but they don't have a lot of American muscle cars to offer and most models come without the engine.

Consider buying from American model kit makers, they have tons of models available (look at AMT). Even if tooling is from 70-80s, they still give you customization options and at least 1 engine.

Tamiya is pretty much foolproof for a beginner or a master. Great quality and instructions no matter how old or new the kit is. Some are just pretty basic, but that's not always a bad thing.

Is there a good website for these old Bakusou Kyoudai Let's & Go! series.

don't know about canadian prices but that's about the same price a starter pack costs when converted
hell, the OG Beat Magnum costs a fraction of that (though, it does not include a motor)
