Lord of the Rings thread

No.10123961 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
We had a really comfy LOTR toys thread here a while ago. As said before, the original line from 2001-2005 still holds up really well, especially some of the later figures when Toybiz started moving away from action gimmicks to 30POA (they're essentially Marvel Legends style figures), and they're actually still quite affordable to collect, with a few exceptions (the Balrog).

There's not really a lot of new stuff to talk about with LOTR toys although Diamond Select did just come out with their 8" deluxe figures. There's no toys for "that show" and there probably won't be (good riddance). Once in a while it's nice to have a thread to catch up on how fellow LOTR anons' collections are going though. What scenes do you want to recreate? Are you army building? Doing any customs and conversions to complete your collection? Have you come across any cool boomer LOTR merch from before the movies? Let's take a moment to celebrate that this beloved book series got the action figure line it deserved.
