>>10133013For me, collecting all the Glyos lines is really more about buying what characters appeal to me, what sculpts appeal to me, and what colors a figure is made in that appeal to me. I’ve passed on a lot of releases over the years.
Certain colors I will buy pretty much whatever figure they spit them out in, and sometimes multiples of, because I like the colors and I want to build with those specific colors and I want to have as many parts in those specific colors on hand to do so.
Certain sculpts like the Armorvor I will buy every single release of because I just LOVE that sculpt to death. It’s so awesome. It just oozes badass no matter how you configure it. It looks like it will storm your base and brutally fuck you up.
Certain characters I will buy because I like the characters. The line I mainly buy for characters is ToyPizza… Y’know I feel like at times Destasio gets a little George Lucas-y and kills off characters that have become fan faves and hot sellers in his store. He’s making his own Boba Fetts. Y’know? Recently he killed off Cyma which was a bit shocking because her figures always sell out and he just killed her off like nothing. A bitch bug man did a cheap shot to her gut. It was…odd, I mean really, like, why, why would you do that? Why would, why would you kill off a character that, whose figure, no matter what color you release it in, consistently, CONSISTENTLY sells out in your store, like who does that? It’s crazy, like, really? He’s got a character that’s always bringing in money and then he killed off, it’s just reckless. You’re just cutting off sales that way you know? You just kill off sales. The whole stream of revenue just GONE. I know he wants to push new characters and products like Diver and Bugwing, yeah, that’s good and all, but don’t go killing off the existing ones that work well, y’know? Ah, ya got me rambling.
