EE has gotten much better except in delivery times. They now have rotating free shipping coupons as opposed to BBTS' flat rate so I've been using them more. they also seem to have more sale items now than they used to

Yea, I've been checking them out more since I noticed they've had some deals on Star Wars stuff lately. It's really the shipping that makes me avoid them. BBTS is fine, I just usually don't go there for new stuff because of their prices. I tend to use them to grab old things that are out of stock everywhere else or some stuff that nobody else ever carries like 1:18 imports until I have a decent PoL built up.

This is a centerpiece. The average collector's not going to be constantly messing around with a $400 figure like they would a standard Legends figure. Arms move out to the side fine without damaging paint, so not sure where you're getting that from. Lights are fun to use a few times and for photos, but will rarely see use otherwise. Dr. Doom head is admittedly dumb, but it's a bonus. The value's already there with the figure and heralds.

this was the last spidey i bought and easily the best legends one up until that point. it has better hip range than the ones released since. it has the best colors. as a standard iconic spidey obviously it's gonna fall short for people, but it's a great figure and one of my favorites.

When Galactus was funding, it looked like we might not get Nova at one point, so Dan said we wouldn’t get Nova, outside of Galactus, until 2023 at the earliest. This seemed to imply that figures with the HasLabs that fail CAN be released on their own, but they have to wait a while to make them (presumably because their manufacturing schedule is planned so far in advance). I wouldn’t rule out any of the figures, although I assume Goblyn Queen and Mephisto would be the priority.

The boob window is never happening but these characters otherwise aren’t impossible. They just aren’t going to do them any time soon. I think of the lot Robbie himself is the most likely to get a figure though they may just reduce him to an alt head for another ghost rider figure or a BAF.

The way the armor is designed it makes it difficult to "engineer around it". A flexible material would still cause hiderence, and I honestly am not sure how you could engineer joints on the shoulder pads since they're not fuck huge like Vegeta's armor from Dragon Ball Z. How would you do it anon?

There's definitely a way they could have cut and jointed the shoulder pieces so that they either fold along or into the sculpt of the chest to create room to allow him to at least bring his arms up in the air vertically. Import (the boogeyman word, oh no) companies work with these types of constraints and worse all the time. Hasbro just didn't even care about it.
And nah, you could have worked some more range into the head itself, and that's not even to start on the neck, which could have been designed to compensate for the head motion. But they had to prioritize the lighting gimmick (which doesn't even allow you to turn it on and off reliably with the push of a button) It just reeks of low effort, which sucks because it sure isn't a low price.

I want to like them more than I do. They’re hit or miss. Beta Ray bill looks cool, for instance, but the costume choice is a bit odd. Apocalypse looked better as a render unfortunately. Red Hulk and Hulk are undeniably solid. I really enjoy their Spider-Man and their Titanium Man. Only objective issue I have with them is the recent trend of rereleasing decade old figures with new paint jobs, like their Moon Knight and Black Panther. They desperately needed upgrades instead.

They'd be a good compliment to other 7" lines, but as of now there are so few releases, and so many of those major characters are unbelievably outdated.

Of those 4 Bill looks great, though I'd have appreciated a more classic head, Apocalypse is also great, Rulk could have used a mustache and sunglasses head, and Vision is fine.

I've got about 40 of them, MCU & Comic. I had more but sold a few off over the years. And, yeah, strange costume choices seem to be a problem recently. This Blade instead of the iconic flat top/trench coat look for example. It's hasbro, they knew there would be engineering flaws going in but pledged their money anyway. Sentinel had different problems but Marvel Legends releases are always going to have some problems, so one should be skeptical going in unless the sculpt alone is worth it for them (which for some it probably is)

The new ones are quite good value for the money but the thing is they release them very infrequently and don't really seem to ever update characters they've done before, so unless they are a large character that can fit in with other lines its hard to recommend them.

Can't say I disagree. Morg had some real effort put into him. Proportionally he's one of the best Marvel Legends ever, guy actually looks like a comic book character with the smaller than average head, broad shoulders, large shoulders, narrow hips and chunky thighs. Much as a love Galactus, Morg is the best part of that set.

Problem being Morg is incredibly hard to pose. No butterfly joints, head sculp that can barely turn side to side without just looking downwards because of the hair, etc. The hair clearly is even a plug-in too, should have at LEAST made it so that the hair can be swapped out for a different hairstyle that allows for more range of motion for different poses.

Cap is… interesting. Clearly a lot of effort went into him, and I like the new sculpt. I also want the shield for my 20th one. Still on the fence, I feel like he’ll hit clearance too.

Wonder Man looks great. I really want his first appearance look, or his ionic look, but it’s hard to deny how cool this one is. He seems worth the price tag.

Strucker looks solid, very excited to have him. Not sure if he’ll hit clearance so I snagged him.

Widow, I do want, but I think she’ll get discounted. I like the head, but I hope we get an unmasked midriff version at some point.

Molecule Man also looks good, I just don’t know a ton about him. Might be another clearance figure for me.

You had some good shit after Civil War like Uncanny X-Force and most of Dark Reign. Siege was pretty fun too imo. Plus AvX was finally an end to the No More Mutants status quo, which I did enjoy, it was just time for it to end.

I think they're also running into a problem Marvel has in other areas too, in that so many of the better character choices are X-men related, like how they had to try and prop up Carol Danvers as super important because all the actually popular leading ladies they could try and center a movie around had their movie rights tied up with Fox.

I only see this as a net positive. It’s been a long time since I wanted a whole wave, so having desirable characters locked behind BAF parts sucks. I’m fine with a dud BAF every couple of waves.

The problem is they're starting to get into the All New-All Different era of Marvel when things like Riri Williams and Amadeus Cho Hulk were introduced. They really need to avoid pulling stories from the 2010s because unlike the 2000s era stories like Civil War which were salvageable.

I’d agree, if that didn’t mean single BAF-less figures for $25 and BAFs going from free figures to $30-50 deluxe figures. Maybe that would work: people would be fine with paying that much for the recent BAFs, like Khonshu. But anyone more obscure than that would be guaranteed to never get a figure.

It has always been easy as Walmart and Target emps don't care. They worst part of windowless is not being able to check the figure quality before buying. That's has been my biggest gripe with the new boxes. Hasbro's QC has also dropped worse than it used to be. My bet is they switched to plastic free so they can package the figures that would normally get tossed due to minor QC issues and sell it for full retail price. Then complain when no one is buying the overpriced low quality toys and their stock price plummets.
