Apparently Chip Hazard was designed by Kenner/Hasbro instead of the SFX studio. Which makes sense if you look at their toys from their time. They're not quite as chunky, but definately muscular(I suspect the chunkier look was for balancing them better)
The closest Hasbro figures at the time, besides GI Joe extreme, are probably the Knight Force Ninjas Batman line.

that makes a surprising amount of sense, also bumping with pic related. alot of kenner's t800's fit the thread theme pretty well honestly. I dont think it was a coincidence that the battle damaged chip hazard looks so much like a t800.

These chunky 5 inch the corps figures from lanard were a walmart exclusive around 7 years ago. I still have the ones i bought around that time period back then when they were still in stores
