Sentai kept getting weirder and weirder and less marketable for western audiences. More to the point, they took a loss moving from ABC and Disney Plus to go to Nickelodeon, since Nickelodeon bounced the show all over the timeslot and didn't give a fuck about giving it a set timeslot or actively promoting it. And their relationship with Toei (who was having it's own problems with the way Super Sentai wasn't selling well anymore but refusing to go back to a more traditional formula after multiple experimental seasons) was super strained due to Toei not liking ANYONE telling them how to do Super Sentai and more to the point, still holding a major grudge against Power Rangers due to whole situation with Disney explicitly asking if they could just do a Power Rangers cartoon based on ZyuRangers/MMPR, as one of the reasons Super Sentai hasn't been canceled yet, was that the Super Sentai was kept afloat off of licensing the footage for Power Rangers and PR going animated only would have been the death knell for Super Sentai.
