>>10140566The thing that made me stop, and my buying was out of control, was getting my girlfriend in May. I was making so many preorders and buying so much stuff off ebay and Yahoo Japan, I was outspending my income, and I was like "What in the fuck am I doing, I cant keep this up". When I got my girlfriend, my want for toys faded to a near dead halt.... what I realized is being alone for so long, toys were filling up the lack of happiness I had, toys kept me going when everything else was so shit in my life. Then my gf came along and I realized that my toys were a life support till my life got good again, with my gf.
I think I bought like 3 toys since May, but mostly its been selling off my collection. And dont get me wrong, my gf was not the "GET RID OF THAT CRAP!" kind of girl. She was fine with it, and was concerned a little when I told her about my money problem spending more on toys than my income, because we have been taking about moving into a house together, so we have been talking about money a lot. The decision to stop buying and to sell a lot of my stuff ( I plan on keeping about 20% of my collection and then decrease that slowly) was really all my decision. Priorities. Making priorities is so important. Find the things that are really important to you. It helps put your toy collecting in perspective.
