I was getting some pretty outstanding imports for $50 or under not even 7 years ago. Buying imports for their ridiculous modern prices is something I suck up and do because there's no other option, not because I think they're worth it. Its also very charitable to call anything Mafex "amazing" Revoltech, maybe. The bar for import ~6'' figures is SHFSS and no DC imports really reach the balance of sculpt and articulation those hit.

There has been other improvements since then. She's just the best example of a newer release vs an older release because same exact character. So it lets you appreciate all the improvements to articulation, sculpting and paint.

Granted the QC has went down the shitter lately but for a while figma were being painted and sculpted better than old stuff for sure.

It's an interesting wave. I think I can see what they are doing with this wave. They're collecting data.

The classic costume gold labels were a low volume beta-test of classic costumes' ability to sell.

Now this wave was planned out as a high-volume beta-test of classic designs vs newer designs over the same time period. Knightfall Catwoman and Kingdom Come Batman are purely old/classic designs. That Superboy design is newer era (even if he originated in the 90s, this isnt his 90s look) and Duke Thomas/The Signal design is newer era as well.

So if you want the line to go towards more historical/classic designs you should buy Knightfall Catwoman and Kingdom Come Batman. If you want the line to still favor newer era designs you should buy Superboy and Duke Thomas/The Signal

how new are you to this line? they never do waves. sometimes they do full case packs, sometimes they do 2 or 3 different figures per case, sometimes they re-pack older figures into new assortment cases. they have never done traditional waves outside of BAF sets. even 3 jokers wasn't shipped as a wave. one walmart i go to got literally nothing from that set but two solid cases of batgirl.

Probably the easiest to pick up is the McFarlane figures. If you don’t want to hunt them down in store, there’s a movie and a comic version available at McFarlane’s online store. They’re about 7 inches tall and have a good amount of articulation.

Let us know if this won’t work. There are other figures out there, but they’re from a few years ago and will have to be ebayed.

It's also a detriment to the toy if it actually costs more to do (likely doesn't), because it increases costs (probably not) and i'd rather see an extra paint app or five being used. Better/more paint >>>> two small holes disappearing.

Seriously, do you not even understand how paint can improve the look of toy by a hundred million times? Whereas a barely noticeable hole disappearing does little. Getting rid of pins is a terrible use of a toyline's budget ...if it costs more, which it probably doesn't.
