>>10174642>zoomer who doesn't even begin to understand how stupid he soundsor maybe you're an alpha? Because alpha is soon going to take on a new meaning, if so.
Since you're too young to konw anything, just like zoomers are too young to have any money, companies, the government, and general outlook back then were hyping shit up way beyond what was realistic.
They were promising that deregulation would create more companies, more job opportunities, lower prices, and advancement in technologies.
They were claiming that outsourcing would create higher paying jobs while working less, more advancements in technologies, and cheaper prices.
Stock market had unlimited growth.
Tricklenomics.
Even liberal hippy teachers in college were believers in this shit, even into the early 00s.
So all these promises turned out fake and gay, because companies are greedy, using up all those incentives, did nothing they promised for using them, ate up the competition, keep prices as they were (and manipulating shit to increase prices), and sat around creating nothing, running the old infrastructure/tech to the ground.
Most of the bad shit that happened in the 00s and 10s was mostly thanks to the laws/regulations passed in the 80s and 90s. So because it takes so long for the ramifications to happen, most people are unaware of how awful their government actually is and keep voting in politicians who promise to fix that shit, ignorant that these politicians are the ones who created the problems.
