You'd think they'd have different sets of parts with each one so if you want the whole thing or one or the other, you have to at least look at both. Got a Movie Monsters Series Gamera 95 out for delivery today. The only other one I've ever bought was a Hedorah from 2006, which I grabbed off Manda a few years back when I thought there'd never be a MonsterArts, but I always wanted to get more. I keep mine on.
If you want to remove them, you can try heating up (hair dryer for example) the area around where the tag goes into the figure and then slowly pill the plastic hanger out. It will weaken the plastic and allow you to pull the plastic hanger out before it cools down. I would be careful to not get too hot or keep it heated too long since most plastics will also permanently deform to a noticeable amount too.

I got some Movie Monster Series figures in the mail today. I sounds like a broken record with this statement: Bandai has really good sculpts, they need to work on their paint department now. I just don't get why they've got so cheap with paint all of the sudden.

One other thing I noticed while looking at the Godzilla figure is you can see in the side profile that he really does look a lot like Godzilla Jr. in terms of his body shape (straight-ish back, longer, hunched forward neck, slimmer body). Really cool they put thought into that instead of just making him an older looking Heisei Godzilla.

Hiya's Godzilla blows Bandai and NECA's offerings out of the water, looks like he jumped right out of the screen and has a wide range of articulation.

Kong seems to be pretty good as well but haven't seen much yet

That being Amazon currently has a limited deal that's selling it for 180 dollars atm and distributed by tamashi/bluefin and can be refunded if there's issue with the figure itself. the 64 is super small because it was made back when Bandai thought they were going to do a different scale for Showa figures. Hedorah will tower over it. If you must have an SHMA Show Godzilla, then the '54 or the '62 are going to be your best options, but you might want to try the Neca '64 instead.

The height isn't a dealbreaker for me because even in the film Hedorah is noticeably taller. That said, the NECA is definitely a cheaper and easier to obtain alternative. I would say SHMA 64 would pair best with SHMA Hedorah over the NECA. Then again I don't own a NECA 64 or SHMA Hedorah to give a true virdect. I will however may pick up the Showa Gigan SHMA around this time next year since that info got leaked.

Kong was meant to be in proportion with Godzilla, and the SHMA KOTM and GvK Godzilla are really small because of how massive King Ghidorah is and how much more massive he would have to be if Godzilla was more in line with Godzilla Earth, Shin, or Ultima in size. I've checked it out a couple of times in the past, but that top portion of the eyes is a little distracting for me and I don't really like that sculpt. I was super excited for the Mezco Destroy All Monsters line but it was disappointing and I ended up not getting it. Also I'm sad flying form Hedorah isn't painted in this one either. Before Godzilla Raids Again got turned into Gigantis the Fire Monster, American distributors were considering just buying the rights to use the monster footage in a new story called The Volcano Monsters where Godzilla and Anguirus were cast as a regular oversized T. rex and Ankylosaurus. Toho also built new suits (with Godzilla losing his ears and a toe) and sent them to America to shoot additional footage, but when the project was cancelled, Toho never got them back.

Thanks, I ended up reprinting him as one of the horns broke off and had to replace it with the tip of a toothpick (that's how it is in the original post). It was very noticeable in pictures. I finished flying Hedorah's sculpt and I'm now working on King Ghidorah.

I just opened up my Mecha G and I love him... EXCEPT his left arm is loose as hell. His other joints all have a satisfying tightness to them, but the left arm slides and I'm almost of a mind to buy another and return this one be cause the difference bothers me so. I slept on it and decided fuck it I'll pay a huge markup to fire-and-forget this order. I am not really a collector I just wanted a good version of this one suit because it's my favorite. Before I knew the monsterarts was re-releasing I bought a NECA SOS Tokyo version off of ebay but the head sculpt isn't nearly as screen accurate as the monsterarts version and the feet are fucking ridiculous lol. The drybrushing is pretty nice though. For all its' flaws it still has good shelf appeal. The only other suit I'd even be interested in is miregoji from Godzilla 2000. Maybe monsterarts will re-release that one too? Best site to keep up with pre-release/new release information on kaiju?

I've gotten all of mine from Ebay, but basically all of them are by Yuji Sakai. I'd love to see some more. There's this one and the matching Rodan which are great and not by him, but the best one of all of them is his Master Collection Final Wars statue, in my opinion.

Back then, with how Bandai was releasing accessory sets, I really thought they’d release his vehicle forms. It’s really sad what the line has become.

I'm on the fence about Mezco because I have to keep rebuking Godzillas to get other monsters when I only need 1 in that scale.

They do not look as good, but I think I will look into Super7 reaction because I saw they are making this guy. If I can collect a full cast of monsters, I see the smaller scale as a plus. Really want KG and this one, I think its early next spring they drop

A lot of different places, over a long time. There used to be something called 'Godzilla Crumble Zone' where a good amount came from, and then for the 2014 release there were buildings that were oddly made to match the old set, each coming with Muto and Godzilla. Considering we're getting a Mecha King Ghidorah repaint (with battle damaged wings). It wouldn't be too farfetched of an idea to bring back Mogera with default and damaged part accessories in the future considering like the former mech, never saw a rerelease/SCV. Reason they stopped because most were japan only and niche market since Bluefin failed to acquire distribution rights to all effect sets and were somewhat expensive even back then. What killed that dream was the Destroyah earlier form set bundle which pissed most Japanese consumers off for the fact these should've been included with the OG from the beginning in which said figure think came with nothing. (That or I mistake the special color one that came with nothing since I know one or the other came with tanks and that was it).

This shit pisses me off so bad. Like has Super7 shipped a single Ultimates figure yet? I can't find any reviews so I'm guessing not yet somehow they're on wave 3. The latest wave they're doing pre-orders for is to be shipped at the end of 2023. I get it from their standpoint. They get to pre-sell an entire year's deliverables so less risk of over-production. But from the consumer side it's fucking bullshit that either you hit the pre-order window and roll the dice that you'll actually get anything in a year or you're shit out of luck or paying scalper prices.

Wave 1 was supposed to be coming in January or February, but it got delayed and so it isn't supposed to ship until July when it ships out with Wave 2. Given how often Super7 delays product I wouldn't be surprised if it got delayed again until late.

I dunno dude, it looks pretty damn accurate to the suit to me. They are both a dirty-looking middle grey. And I didn't solely rely on my eyes either, I tried sampling a handful of the most neutral areas (ie, not in shadow or with blown out highlights) on the figure and suit, and value-wise both ended up almost dead center.

If anything, I think the sofubi and cheaper figures and shit are the wrong ones for depicting it as a near-bone-white.

I'd try dry brushing with a lighter shade first. It will lighten the overall color but might also maybe make for some cool shading and if you don't like it you can just straight paint it like you were gonna do anyway.

For some reason, Toho seems to hate using Showa Ghidorah for stuff. He never gets any realistic figures like Bandai vinyls or MonsterArts, he never appears in comic books and video games, nothing. Even when the plot involves outer space and alien invasions and Planet X, they always use Heisei Ghidorah. It really bums me out, as Showa is my favorite Ghidorah incarnation.

Legendary Goji is probably my second favorite design after KingGoji. In general, I think the legendary designs are great updates to the classic monsters. Though I wish Mothra had been considerably larger.

It's getting on my nerves more and more. It's really annoying and actively limits how you can pose the figure. GareGoji and DougheGoji both walk around in a hunched-over theropod look almost as much as they stand up straight, so making it difficult to set up in that pose is annoying.

DESU, this doesn't even look too hard. You could be a little sloppy with a slightly thinned-down white paint and it'll look alright no matter what I think. The sculpt is so textured that the paint will pull away from the peaks and settle in the valleys, making your paintjob look more impressive than it is. Just my two cents though. I understand if you don't want to put brush to such a pricey toy.

I've heard that the bootleg Showa KG MonsterArts has actually become quite difficult to find these days. But even if I could, that's still a bootleg, because Toho refuses to do anything with the character.

I got a few Godzilla gifts this year haha. Everything I got was, except for some discounted post-Christmas ornaments (a Spider-Man, Batman and Optimus Prime ornament).

I got a Super7 ReAction figure, two boxes of Godzilla Mochi and two blind bag Godzilla hangers/keychains. The keychain I got was a dope translucent burning orange Godzilla, but then my second was the same so I got a duplicate. Glad I got the one I did, but wish I got a different second one. I also got a Godzilla refrigerator magnet and a metal Togepi Pokemon card from 1999.

Very excited and super happy. I also got a check for $50 and am thinking to use that to buy the Mezco Ultraman boxset

dude, the original was released 5 years ago. I was a senior in high school when it released. Lots of people who entered the hobby since then don't want to spend $300 on a figure that had a shitty head sculpt in the first place. This is probably one of the better SCVs since it actually fixes an issue that people had with the first figure.
