Yeah, the sculpts/paint applications are nice. But how good are the quality of the joints? I don't even want to know how toxic the paints they're using could potentially be.

Someone did a test a few months ago because they were desperate to make the third party scene look bad, because they were that kind of bootlicker type. They test I think 15 different toys from different companies. There were only 2 things that tested positive for lead paint. A pot of lead infused water that he used as a control to make sure the tests were working, and a century egg he tested at the end as a joke.

Also in my experience of buying various things like 1/6th figs with and without soft goods, 1/18th robots and figures, and a few model kits, it's entirely dependant on companies. Joytoy's robots have shit joints in my experience, but their humans made to scale with them are great.

I never bought any of their generic Titanfall ripoff robots, but I own a lot of their Warhammer battlesuits and Dreadnoughts, and they must have stepped their quality up a lot, cause these feel great. Super solid joints and very sturdy.

Yeah I've heard nothing but good things, and if they ever make classic marines or terminators, I'll buy-in. Just I refuse to buy any more of their 1:18 or 1:34 robots. Joints are way too scuffed on the ones I own, and their engineering isn't great. I assume the 40k stuff is to a much higher standard because of it being an external license.

They just made their very first classic Marines (Space Wolf Thunderwolf Cavalry) but they don't have helmets, cause Space Wolves frequently don't use them. And classic Terminators are confirmed to be on their roadmap. So you probably don't have too much longer to wait.

Huh... that's pretty interesting. That's good to know, makes me re-consider the whole third party scene.

Also tends to be a lot more value since you aren't wasting money on licensing fees. Or official companies are just outright overpricing their shit (see: Hasbro/Takara Transformers)

He’s so damn good imo, he is everything I wanted, I never had the original official one from Diablo 2 but I always wanted it, but with this dude i don’t really care about that tiny old thing anymore.
I can’t help but admire it every time I see him and pick up and pose him.
He instantly moved to my number 1 toy this year
The face is changed too for the better thankfully as you can see in the op images compared to the original solicitation pics

I was going to make a thread asking if anyone got him yesterday because I can’t seem to get the mask to fit, it just hangs on the soulstone
It’s fine the mask is not important, just makes him look more like the skull artwork which isn’t necessary but I would like everything to work is all

Same problem with the mask, I think it might have been made for the original headsculpt and didn't get changed. The new head has more pokey brows and the mouth protrudes more forward.

Other than that, thoroughly blown away by this thing.

Yeah, I just got him and I'm not sure if it's recency bias, but the dude may have crawled onto my top ten of the year.
I love the translucent soulstone, but I'm so worried about him taking a header and it breaking. Also, was the tail a bitch for anyone else to get on? I had to head the shit out of his ass AND lube it up with some dishsoap just to get it in.

It was a pain to get on but not because of the ball or anything but because it is so difficult to hold press in with all the spikes which is a good problem to have I think when it comes to a Diablo toy
But yeah I ended up heating the socket up
I didn't need to oil or anything though just heat
