how large is your collection that you need a checklist?
I have literally thousands and i remember basically every purchase I've made. With the few that i can't remember, i sure as hell remember when browsing at a convention or through ebay, so i'm reminded when combing through their shelves/pegs/listings that i don't need X.
The only thing i don't remember is when dealing with doubles/triples/quadtruples/etc. So i know i have multiples of certain army builders, but not their exact number. Still, if i find a cheap army builder, it doesn't hurt ot buy another.
Is this a problem people who DON'T play with their toys, where you just keep them in mint in their box?
I know i have a problem with books, comics, games, and movies where i buy up a bunch of shit so i can read/watch/play them in the future, and tend to forget i even own issues 150-158 of The Maxx vs Hulk series or whatever. Or how i avoid buying anymore Simpsons boxsets because i can't remember if i own anything after season 10. Or if i even own the Silent Hill HD collection for PS3.
I don't remember if i own any of htat shit because i never touched them years after buying them. Whereas everything i have watched/read/played with, i know exactly who i have, even if i haven't touched them in over 20 years, like my ARAH vintage GI Joes. I even remember which accessories go with whom, even though i mixed them up in a box with hundreds of other accessories decades ago.
