Anyone pick up any of the AEW Supreme Collection figures yet? I wanna get Malakai Black and was eyeballing Kenny Omega but I'm not sure if I like his face sculpt enough. Same reason I begrudgingly skipped Eddie Kingston. Only seen Cody and Britt in stores so far when it comes to the Supremes. Honestly kinda surprised they're still putting out Cody figures this far down the line

I think the cody one was in the pipeline for a while. There's even a walmart exclusive recolor of that one.

There's also a white trunks version. Though to be honest, the tongue out version mostly looks good only in certain angles while the neutral face doesn't look good at all. Taking into consideration that the body is actually too big and beefy, this isn't really a particularly great Minoru Suzuki figure.

Ultimate WWF by Mattel would be my ideal. Are s7 good at wrestling figures? One thing I adore about wrestling toys is that they are so damn posable out the box, that dont jive with s7.

they seem okay from the few reviews I've seen but not for the price. They don't look leaps better than Mattel or AEW's stuff. The face are worse too since WWE has face print tech. If you are an In-box collector than maybe, they have some of the nicer boxes again not for the price

I've seen some of their NJPW figures in-box at secondhand stores but they haven't made anyone I really want that badly. I thought about picking up Will Ospreay but the face really doesn't look enough like him

I would, but I got rid of all my WWE figures a few years back and now all I have are CM Punk and Wardlow until more wrestlers I like are released (or get rereleases with better face sculpts)

I just realized I'd probably wanna start an ECW fig collection. I don't care about getting the classic figs from the 90s, but just collecting standard size (I'm not a major toy person so I don't know what it is, but Marvel Legends/Star Wars Black Series etc) figures of the ECW roster. I'm guessing my best bet is the WWE Elite series? If you guys have any other tips it would be appreciated.

I saw the Cody at Walmart the other day, it's probably nicer than the wwe ultimate version, but i think I'm over figures coming with 50 extra parts, it might just be me getting old, but when every figure has extra bits it's too much to keep track of

You'll probably have a hard time finding a lot of guys since a lot of them haven't gotten figures since the mid-00's. You'll probably wanna lean towards WWE though, since they own ECW. I know Cactus Jack and RVD have gotten WWE figures in the last few years, so those will probably be relatively easy to get your hands on. AEW also put out a Taz this year, but it's modern day commentator Taz rather than wrestler Taz. I would've assumed Paul Heyman would be a similar case of only having modern day figures, but apparently this year WWE put out a Paul E. Dangerously figure complete with an ECW hat

Ah damn. I knew WWE didn't really embrace ECW but I was hoping action figures would be a different realm since lots of other series (aforementioned Marvel Legends) tackle obscure characters. I tried to look for a Super Crazy figure and not only hasn't there been one for a while like you said, none of them even look that good IMO. If I can't even get a Sabu, Taz (non commentator) or Shane Douglas I guess I'm just shit out of luck for getting an ECW collection, at least as a more casual collector.

Every Wal-Mart. Every Target. Every store within 2 cities that sells AEW actions figures are absolutely littered with Adam Page action figures.

Santana, Ortiz, and Nyla all shelfwarm like that near me. The fact that they're still on shelves coming up on 2023 in several stores around me kinda blows my mind. I'd love an Ortiz but would want his current short haired look. Hangman is definitely worse in terms of sheer numbers though, all my stores have basically two entire pegs filled to the brim with him. I'd honestly buy one if the face didn't look so off

I'd argue Nick Jackson is decently known, but only really to actual wrestling fans. AEW figures will probably mostly only sell to adult collectors unless they're people like Cody who is getting that WWE exposure. WWE figures on the other hand will get bought up by both adult toy collectors and children

I’ve seen most every AEW talent warm shelves for a bit except Omega. I’ve never seen Omega in stores.

My sister is real big into AEW. Got me into it too even. Never knew wrestling was so fun to watch.
She's got figures of the two best friends guys and we also bought MJF as a joke when he pulled that stunt earlier that year. I bought her a few more figures for Christmas tomorrow I hope she'll like. Got her Orange Cassidy, John Silver, Eddie Kingston, and the variant of Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus where Luchasaurus is sitting on Jungle Boy's shoulders.
She fucking hates Britt Baker so I wanted to get Britt too but I was reaching my present spending limit. Ng0wnk

I dig it too. I stopped with WWE for years. I used to keep up with NXT and Lucha Underground though. But WWE was legit terrible, if for no other reason than the terrible promos and abso-f'in'-lutely horrible camera work (from zooms to shakey cam to the incessant cuts) which made it unwatchable for anyone but a complete religiously fanatical hardcore.

AEW's not perfect either but simply not being intentionally asinine in their production, and lets face it, they have their good moments, make them my preferred pro-wrestling show. Too bad the toys generally suck.

Looking forward to this updated look for Gunther. Compared to the other previewed figures in series 102 he looks to come with no accessories, pretty cheap for a elite of his to not include the robe or title.

I was being hyperbolic, although given how unrelenting they were, it could be argued that at some point, it became legitimately intentional. Then it became unintentional again as it became par for the course, since their viewers had adapted to it.

From the more recent clips I've seen, they've cut back a lot on it since Trips took over but at this point, I don't really care anymore. I don't really know who the wrestlers are at WWE. They might be more famous than most of their AEW counterparts but it's not like they have any household names anymore. Their top guys are about on par as say, actors on a pretty good and successful TV series, that I would be glad to see in appear on my screen, but I wouldn't go out of my way to watch, just because their names are attached to a project.
