Like anything it will be all in the air. Hasbro is atrociously bad about releasing the same item several times over so I wouldn't put it past them if they do a box set with the alternatives heads. That or the speculation of their bodies are going to be used for the Fortnight figures they are making next fall are correct and these Ranger versions are just to milk the molds, that would explain some of their choices in design and who they picked, such as Ken who hasn't had a Power Rangers sentai suit video game version(just concept art) but is getting Fortnight skin this year right around the time the Hasbro Fortnight/Street Fighter figures drop.

The only reason I'm not fully convinced of that theory is they didn't do Guile for the Power Rangers side of things because he was in a Power Ranger game and Fortnight like Cammy.

Honestly the concept art looks bad too, but they really should’ve just repainted RyuRanger red with a new helmet for Ken.
These crossover rangers all look like hot garbage anyway. The TMNT ones were okay, but these and the Karate Kid ones are some of the weakest figures in the line. I guess it’s good if they can print money with them to keep the line going, but I won’t be buying these.

Much more interested in the 6” Jada SF line.

It's why some think they are getting recycled as there were no other TMNT deals at the time and they could at least use the Sentai turtle mold 4 times. Cammy, Lee, and Ken, all strangely have a lot of separate parts that should have just been one piece plastic molds both for cost and assembly and if you remove the chest shield, Cammy's body is a 1 for 1 deign of the Fortnight look right down to the rolls in the leggings and how the socks line up on them.

Okay, I just did it. I hate myself I didnt do it earlier and missed out on White Ninja Ranger, but I just ordered all the others with my "birthday" fund.

I just ordered all 6 Metallic Armor rangers, Black, Blue and Kim Pink Ninja Rangers and the Tiger Warrior Mode and Thunder Megazord VHS. Fuck me $330 after shipping. I hate that it's going to be a pain to find a White Ninja Ranger, but once I do I'll have pretty much my dream set up.

Super happy to have the Metallic Armor team whole. Really wish I could have the full movie cast as ninjas though. Anyone have a track on where I could find a Ninja White Ranger?

Try eBay for Tommy, anon. You might have to pay a little extra for him, but it’s a good place to pick up stuff that’s out of circulation. I’ve had ninja Tommy for awhile, since I’ve spent the last year and a half collecting every LC Tommy (thank you, autism) and picked up the other ninjas with some Christmas money. Adam’s left leg is really lose and Rocky’s alt head has an annoying small lump of black plastic on the front of the mask, but other than that they’re all in good condition and I’m pretty happy with them.

I never really feel it too much when a celeb passes. If I liked their work I'll be bummed, but move on relatively easy. JDF, and how he passed, has stuck with me for the past month. He had so many people that loved him, loved the message he tried to leave behind, and had projects he was passionate about. With all the things he's said to try and inspire and motivate others it's just surreal he'd go out like that. Is White Dragon going to theatres? I was going to wait until it was on stream services but if it's in theatres I'll go see it just for him.

It’s a little bizarre to me, not that he died specifically, but moreso that he was the face of the franchise. Every crossover, multiple series, one of the crossovers had a specific storyline to him. Inviting a bunch of rangers back for an anniversary episode without him feels weird, honestly, and I didn’t even like the guy that much. Like you said, I don’t normally care that much about celebrity deaths or whatever but this one is strange.

That's a Super Minipla model. But its fully functional, and you build all 5 battle zords. The zords are fully articulated and so is the Megazord when combined. About 6 and a half inches tall when fully transformed into Megazord, but each zord separated stands about 3 and a half to 4 inches tall

Judging from how shit the Yellow Jason was I can safely skip these or at the very least nick the helmets and what not and just return them. Did it with the Yellow/Red color swap set. I was gonna do it with MMPR Adam but the first MMPR Black has enough problems that I plan on just keeping the figure when I eventually buy it.

I may be horribly mistaken about this, but I seem to recall reading that redesigning Titanus for Season 3 was considered since the Ninja and Shogun Ultrazords were American footage anyway before it was ultimately decided to keep him the same as he was in Season 1.

Zyuranger isn't really that popular in Japan and sentai releases didn't do that well. They sold decently in the US, enough for Bluefin to try to convince Bandai to do more, but Tmashii wasn't really paying attention to the US market at that point.

Its not unpopular, just not as popular as other Sentai series. And the association with MMPR does help it a lot, as much as purists hate to admit it. That SRW appearance was meant to tie into the SoC release..which was also marketed as a MMPR release.

But Saban had the rights to the character even up through the Neo-Saban era and Bandai has always had the rights to make merchandise of him. I can't see a reason why Ivan Ooze would be the one thing Hasbro wouldn't get the rights to when buying the toy license and entire franchise. Honestly, I can't help but think that Hasbro is tricking themselves into thinking they don't actually have the rights to MMPRTM stuff ("UH, FOX MADE THE MOVIE SO NOW IT'S DISNEY") when they actually do.

Hasbro is notorious about drip feeding. With Marvel Legends it took a span of 7 years to get the complete Jim Lee Xmen team, it took a span of 11 years to get the Sinister Six, and with Transformers getting all of Soundwaves crew is rare and they still haven't finished The five Studio Series Dinobots.

I mean, you fuckers still haven't seen a mainline Rita in the right gear and the line is 4 years old now. It's almost certain they are holding Ooze for the anniversary and I wouldn't be surprised if he is in some expensive eight pack.

They didn't make a new classic Lizard in their Marvel Legends line until 7 years after the reboot of ML, which includes them skipping out on the Amazing Spider-man film's opportunity to make him where Lizard was the main villain.
They didn't make a Black Series Ahsoka Tano until 4 years after she reappeared in Star Wars media. Hell the ghost crew took almost 6 years to get completed. In fact Sabine Wren came out after she was gone from the show.
And Transformers has mountains of these oddities where figures you think be perfect to make get stalled out for near decades.
Also consider this is the same team that made two Power Ranger Street Fight characters in outfits that don't exist. Hasbro is a place of madness where using logic and reasoning will actually make you look like an idiot, because they do not use logic nor reasoning in any of their choices.

The 60's team bugged me because the pink male, red and black female rangers felt so forced . There's no way in hell the pink suit with a semi heart shaped visor was meant for a man first.A 60's male pink should have been a stereotypical hippy stoner who talked about peace and love, or some sort of Austin Powers like guy and it shouldn't have been so serious at first. And it was such a fucking bleak grim story. It should have been like Adam West Batman.

I think the only real affordable one at the moment is the ZAP and while it seems like an improvement over the Megazord, it's still far from the best option. The SoC is the best one as it can hold it's transformed mode much better than the BoA version can but the BoA version does look really nice in Dragon mode. I have both the Legacy and the SoC and while I keep the SoC on my shelf, I'm not mad that I had the Legacy up there for a while. I've been meaning to sell! It but I just got lazy. I'd offer to sell it to you but if I'm going to go through the effort, I'm gonna sell it for market price. Sorry.

We don't know for sure yet. They're not out. Super7 products kind of vary in terms of quality. They can't do normal humans to save their lives but that doesn't really have an effect on a big metal dragon. Dragonzord looks good but only time will really tell if it's any good.

I cancelled my Super7 Ultimates Green Ranger once we got pictures of the tommy heads, I can't believe a $50 figure can have a worse face sculpt than a $20 lightning collection Tommy.
But I"ll wait for reviews, if it's not that bad I might bite. I just want a good Green Ranger figure with a tommy head and none of the Hasbro ones have been to my liking.
I don't want the figuarts, it looks amazing but it was too flimsy.

The Mezco heads look pretty good. I think that might end up being the best Tommy head. I know they announced him like 2 years ago and never heard anything after that but the rangers come out this year so tommy cant be too far away after the main rangers debut.

I had a huge sentai figuarts collection, unless on a stand they would constantly fall, putting some of their accesories would fall by just looking at them, and the legs snapped on two different figuarts, I complained in a thread like 3 years ago on /toy/ and was told "it's normal for these older figuarts".
Even if you want to blame it on my ham hands then I need some ham hands proof figures then, sentai figuarts are the only ones I've ever had these problems with, most my other figuarts only have the accesory problems.

Most of the 2012/2013 and some 2011 SHF hips would do that. The cap the balljoint of the hip would connect to would sheer the balljoint off, or sometimes the discs/pegs of the drop down hip assembly would crack.
My OG kamen rider amazon sheered at the ball, and my Fourze almost did the same thing until I soaped it back in the day.
The gokaigers and shinken gold had it pretty bad too. I think all of them used a softer plastic for the hips and a harder plastic for the cap for the balljoint in the thigh.

I got Gokai Blue thrown in for free with Gokai Silver from a Japanese seller because both his drop-down hips had broken in the center. I just glued the pegs in place and painted them black. They don't drop down, but he's still usable otherwise. Later, I bought Gokai Green from the BST and his drop-downs basically broke as soon as I moved him into his roll call posd, so I had to glue his in place too. I've not had the issue with Gokai Silver or Kyoryu Gold, thankfully.

Space Sheriff Gavan's wrists both snapped as soon as I tried swapping hands for the first time. I managed to sell the broken one and got a replacement that's held up over time, but I'm still a nervous wreck when swapping out its hands after that.

The sentai figuarts are not strong quality. Gokai Red and Shinken Red's hip joints broke on me. I had to buy replacement figures/hips. MMPR Green consistently falls over. I barely take them out of the box because of this. Only my MMPR Red hasn't given me issues. I'd love some 2.0s.

I like the suit details as well. I do kind of have it in my head cannon the the LCs are the American actors in the suits, the proportions match more, however the SHFs look much more like the Japanese suit actors. So which version you prefer I guess depends on which footage you prefer.

Am I the only one who thought that the Ninja stuff and Season 3 of MMPR in general just isn't as good as the rest? Like at least when they made the change from the Dino to Thunder Zords it seems more of an outright upgrade. Dinosaurs and other ancient beasts to mythicall creatures seemed like such a clear upgrade that mythical beasts to regular animal spirits seemed like such a downgrade. Even the Megazord didn't feel right with Red only being an arm as opposed to being the kind of core of the ! Megazord or at least the head. At least the Shogun Megazord was just fuck huge and was more imposing on that respect. Also Dinosaurs to Animal spirits was also lame, especially since their suits never changed either.

Aesthetically it might seem that way, but the ninjazords seemed to have more individual weapons and attacks without combining into a Megazord than any previous zords did. Shit, the Thunderzords couldn't do ANYTHING on their own, Billy and Trini/Aisha were literally wasting their time driving something into battle whose only purpose is to become a shoe.

Plus the rangers got a whole host of ninjutsu abilities like decoys and disappearing and superspeed.

Its very hard to Gage popularity for Sentai. A lot of out info comes from old articles translated int he 2000's(but often not posted online), and popularity poles. Unpopular or middling sentais can have amazing toy sales. Ohranger is infamous for having terrible reception and considered near death for the franchise, but had amazing toy sales.Seeing fanworks or JP fan spaces talk about series is another way to gage popularity, especially in the years after the initial run, but naturally a lot of that stuff is buried in the mass of internet content that exists now compared to the early 2000's.

LightningFigPR put together this graphic for currently leaked figures. Worth noting that he’s listed several instances, but it’s basically confirmed that the next wave is SPD Yellow, Dino Thunder Black, Galaxy Pink, and Dino Fury Blue.

Considering how many original Thunderzord battles were made using stock footage it's a shame they didn't make more use of the individual zord footage to compensate for Dairanger only using it one time.

True, but my point was, if you missed one episode of Season 1 or Season 3, you had a fair chance of seeing the Dino Zords and Ninja Zords using their attacks again at some point. If you missed one single episode of Season 2, you might never know that the Thunder Zords can do anything.

Yes. They're quite pricey now and retailed for a pretty penny. But they all got heavily discounted at various points in time. I actually got the Megazord for $150 and Dragonzord for $80. They're easily the best versions but can be a little fragile.

They have nice articulation and interesting accessories but definitely feel cheaper and more hollow than other releases. Especially the various Bandai ones (Bandai of America and Bandai of Japan) that have diecast in them. They have extra adding detailing like a hexagon pattern on the silver section of Megazord's chest to put their own spin on things. It's down to the individual opinion on whether or not you like it or not but the general consensus seems to be it's superfluous and doesn't look that great. Build quality seems to be only alright. There have been reports of Megazord's leg shearing off. They're ok for what they are but it's up to you if you think they're worth the price.

Obviously as a company they'd want to do things that make money. I'm not defending that, it's just the nature of business. If fans want to add him to their collection in honor of him then at least it's doing something people actually want. What would bother me about any sort of Tommy release would be what's included, price, etc. If they packed all his forms into a Tommy box it'd be 100-150 which may put some off who only need one or two.

I think what would really bother me is if they offered some box set or big release with Tommy, jacked the price up super high, and used suicide prevention charity to get more on board. Especially if there's no indication how much they would give in the end.

This guy is really cool. Bought a small set of crafting gems for a dollar and super glued it to his chest. It's like a centimeter too far to one side but I don't think I'd get it any better than it is so I'm happy with it. Wasn't watching PR any more when this guy showed up but seeing the figure I had to snag the simple cool mysterious space biker.

i hope they do a happy Rita in gold trim with either the telescope, bike, or space bin from the intro, also more megazord figures, whether it's deluxe with more joints/paint/effects or repaints for a Godzilla crossover line, they really compliment the monster figures

Yeah definitely. I got them for under $80 and in near perfect condition sealed, looking at others listed online in not as great condition used going for 30 each.. including the sealed Zyuranger Japanese versions going for 2,000+, I thought it was a great deal. I was hoping Hasbro would do some vehicles but after I saw pic related looking online, I knew I wanted the OG versions for my shfs. I never got them when I was a kid because I guess they sold out at my toys r us.

The ones in the pic are the Japanese release to there are slight differences from the American 93' releases but I ordered some Zyuranger sticker decals from this neat online shop store so we'll see how it looks when they arrive.

I thought the same thing and the scale is actually closer than I expected. Pretty good fit actually, deciding whether my paint skills are good enough to put some details like maybe tire details and matching the mud gaurd colors..
