Unfortunately they're nothing to write home about. I wish the aftermarket price for them wasn't in the hundred range, wish someone else would make them, Hasbro did pretty well on the Overwatch figures. The only ones that look decent are the RED team side, the Spy may be the worst looking one and Medic's glasses are way too thick, Engi is okay, and Sniper doesn'thave his glasses. 3D printing some hats or weapons would be cool though. Heavy and Pyro are my most wanted but cost the absolute most aftermarket and aren't worth it at that point.

As someone who played TF2 and have bronze OG pin in my inventory I gonna say the valve statues are weak sauce.
And because Valve doesn't invest much in making toys other than plushies TF2 crew will stay in weak statue hellhole for very long time if not forever.
I can already see Valve making their action figures and releasing gacha style packs of interchangeable goodies parts such as hats, faceplates, clothes, weapons ect.

Having owned a majority of them in the past, definitely not. The materials and build quality of those figures were some of the worst I've ever handled even for a NECA.

Theoretically a game like TF2 (and even Overwatch to an extent) would be great for any toy licensor. You only need a base mould for each class for their default looks while the rest of the accessories such as weapons and hats/clothes can be sold separately. You can even play into the crate system as blindbags for said accessories too. Unfortunately TF2 is already way past its prime and it seems pretty much everyone has moved onto Fortnite or some other type game that fills that niche for easy toy money.

Also Valve just doesn't give a shit anymore. They make too much money from Steam.

Nah dude. First figure I bought when it came out as a Pyro main and the dude can't even turn his head to look left or right because of how absurdly strange the neck joint was. As with basically the entire team you're better off skipping, especially if you like BLU or something considering BLU Scout, Sniper, and Medic never came out in the end.
Heavy's fine and arguably the best of the line, but he was a stretch at 20 bucks retail and it hasn't gotten any better with the secondary market inflation

I have the first 4 releases; Demo, Pyro, Heavy and Soldier. I stopped buying them after that second wave. Demo and Heavy are pretty good. The posture of the soldier and Pyro are wrong and cannot be posed to look like they are in game.

I had two soldiers just instantly snap at the knees. The third one I didn't even bother trying to get them unstuck. Figured it was one of those cursed QC figures like Reeves Superman. Other ones are ok(other than spies face), but limited by articulation a lot of the time. never bothered picking up the final 3 releases(medic,scout, and sniper.)

I know the NECA figures are a huge fucking disappointment... but I am still somewhat happy we got figures. It took me years, but I finally got all of team RED. I also got a few BLU.

you'll be lucky to find ANY in USED condition for under 100 fucking dollars which is insane considering their articulation is god awful (just look at scout) i wish another company would make figures like mafex quality but that dream is long since died out. :(
