I just got the Mario Happy Meal and the Mario Kart toy in it is genuinely one of the worst toys I've ever seen.
The wheels are hollow, like it's a toy car and it doesn't have wheels. It has a plastic "ball bearing" on the bottom so it can barely scrape along a surface. Like obviously it doesn't pull back and go forward or anything that would be way too expensive and might cost 2 cents to make as opposed to 1 cent.
Honestly if these are the quality standards Nintendo has for the merchandise for their first movie I have extremely low expectations for the actual movie.
