Help fixing older figure

Just got this 2004 McFarlane Conan figure/"action statue". After unboxing it, the one arm is as shown. Slightly pushed out disjointed from the socket. I push down on it good and hard and it stays firm how it is. Spins 360 good and fine. Just would really like to fix it if anyone has tips or might know what to do.

Easy fix. Use a hair dryer and blast it, get it good and heated and push it in. You COULD also boil some water in the microwave (2 minutes in a cup) and dip it, then probably pop it out and then resit it, but you should be able to just do a simple heat up and push.

I'm gonna be straight with you. These toys were made cheap, irresponsibly cheap. It's entirely possible this arm has always been like this and/or been malformed during production. Repairs for this stuff are hard to recommend generally, always try and get some info on the paint and plastic type if possible. Generally a line will use the same plastic type/mold process/joints and you can extrapolate to your figure. If you can't be fucked with that I recommend a gentle heatgun/hairdryer exposure while slowly pushing and twisting the joint into place before cooling. It can be worth repeating the process at a lower temperature rather than going to hot, you want to make the material malleable not liquid.

I could be wrong but it seems like this is a feature. It wouldn't surprise me if they accidently made the peg too long or the plastic warped and they just released it.

Why not just cut it off and glue it flush? It's a McStatue so the swivel is entirely pointless to begin with, and whatever resell value it had dropped as soon as it left that plastic vault it was packed in.

This kind of shit is why I'm always super fucking skeptical of /toy/'s obsession with McFarlane.
I grew up with my favorite figures by him snapping if you looked at them wrong, or being poorly constructed, or just generally being cheap pieces of shit.

Either he started giving a shit at some point or everyone here is in total denial.

It might be sour grapes or nostalgia. You get an overall better product from NECA in the same price range I've found. People seem to always be aggressively opposed to one and applaud the other but it's just a matter of whos more consistent with good releases. NECA has done some extremely good for price clothed figures. McFart seems to have the rare occasionally acceptable product in predominantly low effort and budget orientated line.
