>>10259701To this day I still regret all those times I passed this badass up while at TRU. I kept "waiting for a sale" and it never came, these guys never got any kind of discount because they were too awesome to be sold for cheap.
I did get the new D&D dragon, but he's too....flat. I don't mind the 5 PoA (more would've been nice) but he is just way too skinny to really be intimidating. But he'll still make a good mount for any number of my fantasy figures.
>>10280655It's almost absurd how much the quality dropped from this guy to the animated figures. Drizzt was one of the best figures to come from Hasbro in a long time while the animated D&D guys are probably some of the worst I've handled. I would've picked up the whole team, but after finding out the archer guy can't actually arch and then having my amazon girl's arm snap right off (she now has a skeleton arm), I'm pretty much done with the line.
.....maybe I'll grab the red head, I could always use a cute ginger rogue in my collection.
I don't know the quality of the movie figures yet though so I can't really complain about them. And I know you're being sarcastic about a line "full of civilians"...but I actually do want some generic fantasy people for my villains to bully about so I think these guys are great. I do hope we see more actual adventurers though, but I don't know much about established D&D characters to care about specific ones.
>>10289413It's like the accessories were made for the animated figures, yet the cube itself is (barely) based on the movie version. If the accessories were more realistic it'd be a worthwhile accessory pack, or maybe it had a full skeleton figure you could take apart or something. But with the weird cartoon gear and that awful cube, this set is just bad.
