All that said isnt this set piss easy to get on the aftermarket at a reasonable price?

If there is a part in that set that is only in that set, then
Download LDraw or LeoCAD
create a mold from the 3d model
buy and build this cheap injection mold:

There now you can make the lego parts you want.
As far as painting them, idk, I was looking UV printers but they expensive. You may have to print press the color designs on or spray paint with stencil.
