>>10247311There's a ton of cool stuff coming out, but they never get any traction because G1 stuff just has a more built in audience base. These threads hated on MP scale replacing classics for years, now these threads are mostly devoted to talking to Legends scale figures that have the same aesthetic influence of MPs. Even doing G1 stuff that strays from G1(like IDW inspired MP or T-beast) gets an icy reception.
Thing is, toon g1 has a roadmap. Other concepts mostly don't. Companies doing other series in MP style will probably gain more traction before original redesigns done by fanartists. Transart seems to be doing well, and more companies are pushing UT stuff.
Ultimately these threads are Transformers threads, and liking official Transformers designs(if not toys) is sort of the most common factor. Once you stray from that you get less interest inherently. Thousands/Millions of people watched the TF cartoons, maybe a few hundred/thousand people will like a fanartist design, and a fraction of that will pay money for it.
