The torso not matching the limbs has been around since day 1 unfortunately. It’s the types of plastic they use, one is softer so they don’t come out the same color. Previously they were also making the limbs and the torsos in two different factories, no idea if that’s still a thing or not.
Not saying it’s excusable or anything but just that I can see why it’s still an issue.

Habsro would save more plastic by having quality control implemented. Making figures properly once instead of making a bunch of erroneous figures.

Yeah dear god. The only figures Im planning to get right now are the Alien Rangers because they shouldn't have consistency issues and shark rangers...because I like sharks ok. But thankfully we only have 3 rangers like that.

Im debating the Blue Centurion to go with Phantom Ranger but Im not a fan of the deluxe price. Im not touching the remastered figures for that reason but I kind of want Jason so I can use his head on the gold ranger and Trini because I love Thuy Trang. Im trying to resist them anyways...

Basically it’s fucking hard to miniaturise a persons face with so little paint, so much of a face is more about colour than shape, look at people who do repaints of toys, the sculpts are often fine when painted to the level that is required.

So lightning collection boxes are weird, they might have ordered a bunch of the mixed boxes which are 2 of each figure in a wave and sold everything else.

Female figures take longer to sell through for PR by an order of magnitude, doubly so for something dumb like the ninja pyjama mode

It's assembled, but the plastic free packaging offers zero protection for the figures which are probably jolted around a thousand times before finding their way into the consumer's possession. You could reinsert it, you’d just need to crack the torso wider to do so. Which is tough, and it can cause white stress marks on the plastic if you do it wrong. It would also need the torso glued back together while reinserting the neck peg.

Understandably this is beyond a lot of people’s capabilities. I customize shit all the time and I would hate to do this.

I would rather roll the dice on someone new doing a more competent job than someone with a proven track regard of not. She says he built LC from the ground up, well the LC was flawed from the get go. Bad proportions, terrible range of motion in the shoulders and hips. Imagine being "dedicated to advancements in articulation", yet your figures can't put their damn arms down or do splits more than 45 degrees. The basic $10 figures could put their arms down no problem and do OVER a 90 degree split at the hips. This guy deserved to be fired if he had anything to do with the figures turning out as shitty as they did. If he sculpted the original MMPR Red, Blue, and/or Black helmet, that alone is grounds for firing.

The super forms worry me because I’m scared the spikes will be too fragile and break off easily, especially Abarekiller’s long wrist spikes, they’d probably cuck them and make them the same length as SP // DR wave Kaine’s stingers. Granted, I don’t remember if Trent ever appeared like this in Dino Thunder as I was 4 when it came out and haven’t watched it since. Come to think of it, I’m also worried about them moving onto Ninja Storm because I’m worried they’ll fuck up Cam or jack up his price since he’d need two additional heads and multiple weapons. Of course I guess they could just release his normal form with the unsheathed sword and do another of his power up form with the sheathed baseball bat sword, but I have no use for two Shurikengers.

I can't see Cam costing significantly more than a standard figure. Use the helmet head for both modes by having the top half be removable, instead of making two full helmets. If having the sword able to insert into the bat would cost extra, skip the blast effect/s for this particular figure.

Different budgets plus development time would be my guess. Classified was in the works for like 5 years before the line launched, which gave plenty of time to figure out how much engineering they could pack in. The movie based figures don't have as much articulation as the mainline stuff does.

I'm glad they actually got the rectangles in there. All the In Space figures look so off with squares. Funny seeing people comment that Zhane's squares are bigger in this new release. When in fact it's always been rectangles in the show. Hasbro just skimped out on paint.

I wish he came with a Galaxy Glider instead. I'd buy a third one with a Galaxy Glider, morpher, different hands, with the face sculpt from the Walgreens version with improved face deco.

None of the figures have stickers, just the accessories. Given how they give you everything you could want I'm perfectly okay with that. Better than getting only 2 or 3 fully painted weapons per Ranger, or jacking up the price considerably to paint everything. It's not hard to paint them yourself if you don't want to use the stickers.

Otherwise I agree. Unfinished Time Force, Wild Force, and Dino Fury. Plus they’re starting Turbo, and allegedly RPM and now Samurai. There’s also someone on Twitter saying Lightspeed Rescue but I haven’t seen any proof aside from that.

I think we’ll get the extra members from Dino Charge, but no idea when. They did make pinless molds for both male and female and only used them once each, so we’ll probably get the rest.

I don’t really mind so many teams going, but it’s clear that when they start dropping a bunch of waves back to back, like right now, that QC takes a huge dip.

Those are all on the weapons. The figures are fully painted. Just think of it like the main line figures that came with single color grey weapons, but here they give you stickers to apply the colors and details if you want.

generally, no. looks like they used a gundam marker.
washes catch the finer lines that sculptors use.

check this before and after, and how much finer it is than the actual brush work. takes all of a minute of work.

That's a miniature, you're talking about a different application for a different scale on different materials with a different intended level of interaction. Miniature washing is perfectly fine, but not required if you're a good enough painter. I wash minis all the time.

It's an example to show how a wash does a much finer line than that sphinx guy looking like he was done with an overly large gundam marker.

Washes work on everything, because it works with the sculpt.

Omega Rangers is a big one, there’s a lot of variations there. The original team (male red and black, female blue and yellow) has changed a bit, so there’s also female red and a giant cat is blue. And there’s the Death Ranger.
Outside of that, there’s nu-MMPR Green, “Lord Drakkon” (Ranger Slayer Kim in a new hat), Solar Rangers (a team of seven, eight technically), mutated MMPR and TMNT Rangers (again), and variants of MMPR. There’s the entire core five except Green, there’s the 1969 team (female red and black, male pink, blue, and yellow), and lastly the color-swap MMPR team, of which we got Yellow Jason and Red Trini, but there’s also Blue Kim, Black Billy, and Pink Zack.

I know there’s people who want this but a) that’s probably my least wanted anything from the comics, besides the TMNT stuff, and b) they’re probably least likely to get made since they’re definitely one off molds.

I don't think the second time was solely motivated by turning a profit. Haim is getting up there in the years and he had a friend at Hasbro who he felt would take care of his baby. I think he sees Power Rangers as his legacy and genuinely cares about it being in good hands once he's gone. Unfortunately his friend ended up dying prematurely from cancer, so once again Power Rangers is left in the hands of a company who doesn't know what to do with it, and doesn't really want it. I could see Haim trying to buy it back simply because he doesn't want his property run into the ground as Hasbro has been doing.

Yes, I agree. Sorry, maybe that didn’t come across, but I fully believe Saban isn’t interested in acquiring it again because of his age. Like you said, there would be a good reason for him to purchase it, since he believed Goldner would be taking care of it, and he unfortunately passed away pretty young. I think they just need a new CEO and new leadership, because Chris Cox is pulling classic turn-and-burn CEO behavior, and that always fucks the companies eventually.

How about focusing on getting the toy brand focused and not all over the place. No one is buying the Lightning collection now since it's shit. Team cohesiveness isn't prioritized and each member is done compartmentally so they all look slightly off. It's like their no team lead and just a bunch of instagram contractors putting their own spin on the figure they got assigned. The ZAP and Monster lines are shit and no collector should be even bothering with those.

To be fair Bandai started the voice lines in morphers with their Zeonizer, though it was always a really stupid idea that didn't need to be included in the first place, especially if you can't even get real actors to do it. The entire point of a Morpher is roleplay, I want to say the thing, I don't want the toy to say the thing for me.

Wow, I am a big fan of some of the other Ultimates (like TMNT and Toxic Crusaders) but this looks like garbage. I get what they're going for, but the sculpt is so smooth and featureless that it looks like a $5 playline figure. I certainly hope the zords look better.

You are confusing Shodo with So-do. So-do comes with tons of stickers and generally looks like shit. Shodo is significantly higher quality, and 99% of the time is fully painted. Like look at this for example, look at how many fucking paint apps this has, it's all paint except for the chest emblem. Shodo is one of the best lines Bandai is putting out right now in terms of bang for your buck.

He was essentially the brand ambassador during the neo-Saban era, and that probably helped give him a sense of purpose when he was at low points. They're all roughly 6 inches with some obvious exceptions, the Super Train, Titanus, and Gaolion for Kentarus mode.
Half the size, but all the joints, you can actually pose the fuckers, they have necks, shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees, and ankles.
If you get some, you'll want to pick up some cheap action bases for them too.

If it makes you feel better, I doubt his depression can be chalked up to just one thing. I know his family issues were a big part of it. No telling how much of that was related to his work but it’s not like his wife left once Hasbro bought the brand or anything.

Since then he's lost more family and friends, and was going through his second divorce, so he certainly had plenty of reasons to be depressed.
