I still collect, from what little show ups these days. Walmart's selection has been pretty slim the last few visits, mostly old lingering CoD troop packs and a precious few of the newer Halo sets. Last time I was at TRU was in the wake of the holidays, they only had one Halo set for their entire Mega section, quite grim. Haven't paid much attention to Poke, though the evolution sets have been tempting. Sucks that in-store stuff has been so sparse and Amazon Canada hardly any better, but I've grown used to it I guess. Been buying tanks on AliExpress to go with my CoD figures.

Saw ebay were selling She-Re figures so I went and bought one for $8 (shipping included). Definitely bootlegs as the seller is from china, but from the footages I can find online, she always has a different face (and some even look like the ebay listing).
Still, don't regret the purchase as the set with the figures is already hard to come by, and likely would cost a lot to get one later.

It is really ridiculous, some Ebay guy here in Germany had more or less a monopoly selling 37 sets for around 40€.
Kaufland wanted more than 50€ per set until three day ago when the price suddenly dropped to 20€.
Meanwhile the MyToys erased Megas Motu stuff from their online presence and the smaller stores won't get their first delivery till end of the month.
How is a company like Mattel so bad at making their products available?

Would love more detailed DC figures but I highly doubt they're going to drop them. They have a close and long relationship with LEGO. Even at their lowest they still worked together. Worst thing that'll happen is less variety in DC sets.

I’ve got a few good ones, but missed out on things like that awesome insectoid tank and some of the bigger figures. Some of my ships are mixed in with about 20lbs of loose MCX bricks in a bag, so they’re going to be impossible to rebuild. My son won’t let me put away our Cabal Harvester for very long at a time, but at least all of the pieces are accounted for.

Those lines were coming out and future stuff being shown off when TRU was going out of business.
I imagine a ton of waves/lines from other toy companies were also dropped, since TRU made up a huge part of the toy market.

A lot of companies posted significant losses from that blackhole and it took years for other businesses to fill in that space.

if they had small base setups, little explorer buggies and and "satellite relays " and the Vikings had expansible "settlement units" like the containers that were little blacksmith shops and medieval craftsmen / foresters and fishermen of could make larger longhouses (with 2 or 2 figures per set) that would have been great.
- along with maybe some thematic trolls, goblins, and knights they would have had a great self-owned IP.
(also usable if they had more than one Witcher figure.)
They fucked themselves by not doing this and by shitty distribution.

cave in and get something while it's MSRP before it goes out of print and gets scalped into oblivion, the set lineup they've got out rn is kino on all fronts

the hornet and the halo 2 heretic banshee are the two most recent sets I've bought, both are $27 on amazon right now and I couldn't recommend either enough

I'd say most of the zombies sets, either because of the zombies or the run down terrain pieces. A couple of the crates match the aesthetic, Yury, the mismatched arms give the appearance of someone who cobbled armor together, and for sure crash site, with the downed chopper
