Aside from that weird notch in his lower lip, this looks great to me. It's not hyper-realistic, like a Hot Toys or Mezco, it's a softer stylized realism. Which is actually the perfect middleground for a ~$20 figure to aim for. I think Joker turned out the best amongst this wave.

They're making a Power Girl figure? The one I wanted most was the DC Direct Infinite Crisis one but even at the time it was lacking in posing. I never found it so I resigned myself to the mass retail one in that awful line Mattel did. One of her calves pops off when you look at it funny.

Still, the Infinite Crisis is still my favorite looking Power Girl toy so far so whatever they put out has to compete with that.

Nah.
McFarlane only stopped using those joints because the market wanted more detail and paint.
When there was no market for mcstatues, he went back to using ball-hinges for the Halo line and up to current date. There were types they used more simplistic joints, like with the Prince of Persia line, but ball-hinges have been a mainstay since the early 00s.

As a primarily Marvel collector, I wouldn't mind Todd getting the license. 7 inch is a superior scale and the sculpts are better. What Hasbro does better is the actual variants people want to get, but Marvel has a richer catalogue than DC, who don't have as many characters which would sell well.

I can tell you the logical reason but you won't like it. It's due to that giant torso he comes packaged with. Normal figures went up in price to 23 but BAF waves are still the same (and thankfully too because I wouldn't pay 28 bucks for a DCMV figure), thus they still have a budget of $20 per figure and $5 for the included piece. And Beast Boy's torso which comes with Nightwing is the largest piece.

I believe BAF waves should end. They've widely almost ended for Legends in that most waves aren't BAF anymore. DCMV should do the same.

Superman, Speeding Bullets Batman, Batwoman Unmasked, and Eradicator are my favorites. Solid sculpts and proportions and the colors used don’t look cheap.
It’s wild how much the quality swings between iconic and definitive to clearance shelf filler. When McFarlane makes a great figure it’s the best version of that character that’s ever been made, so it’s really disappointing when he misses the mark because you know with a little more work it could have been something amazing, like the Mr. Freeze figure.

I can understand liking Speeding Bullets Batman, Batwoman Unmasked totally, great figures. Although Batwoman's wings could've used some detailing and didn't need the holes to hook on to her arms when they can just be posed floating that way. But I like the figure overall.

Eradicator has some issues though. The Cheeto hands, the cuts in the glasses being egregiously obvious and not doing a unique leg sculpt to not have the sculpted boot outlines are the kind of cost cutting that is bringing down that Titans Nightwing and the gold label Beast Boy. The diaper on Eradicator is also kind of oversized like Beast Boy's, so I can see some common problems there that can be foreseen and that they need to fix.
