The front skirt piece can move out of the way a lot which allows you to move the legs a really good amount, you can even mid transform the side skirt to give you more leg room.
What I find myself wishing was just a tiny bit better is the ab crunch, but honestly, that's more of an issue with the design itself since he has a face in his stomach.
Is this the most articulated Gurren lagann? probably not, but is decent enough and it honestly does a couple of things better than other non transforming alternatives.
I'll say tho, if Gurren not being super articulated is a deal breaker for you, that's something to consider, while you can access to all the leg articulation he has as GL it involves mid transforming him.
The drills aren't a huge deal to me, I would have preferred silver for sure, but it's not something I'm gonna engage much with other than the Gurren wing and hand parts (which you do get silver versions of)
