>>10297363Totally agree about Powelink, it’s a lame gimmick but the thing is, it’s not integral to the story like Minicons are for Armada and that’s my issue, Minicons were underutilized in Armada. They were little more than a plot device and they could have been more.
The kids Minicons were used well but aside from those, Hot Shot and Demolishor were the only characters who interacted with their Minicons with any regularity and Megatron, Optimus and Starscream have one episode apiece where their Minicons do something. Every other Minicon would simply show up for an episode, get used once and then only appear again when a Transformer needed to shoot their big laser. And then even in the Unicron arc there only purpose is to be a Deus Ex Machina to save the Autobots anytime Unicron does something.
tl;dr Minicons should have been characters instead of a plot device
