Checked out
Dark knight wave and titans wave got my attention. Severely disappointed by both. Two whole waves and the only figure that doesn't look shit is the Batman. The only way I'll get that Batman is if the heist joker looks good. I feel like I'm crazy for hating the dark knight wave because everyone is sucking Todd's dick over it.

Go to back to Marvel Legends, buying a shit figure just because it's part of a team to "complete teams" is mental illness. You buy figures because the figure itself is good or fun, not to fill a slot. Might as well just download a jpg of every character, it'd be a lot cheaper to complete teams

You have it right, the photographer got it wrong.

He is a ghost who can possess people. That ghost add on is supposed to be represent him entering or leaving a host and isn't supposed to be attached to him but a different action figure. The Icons Deadman figure has a ghostly possession accessory as well which photographers that didn't know anything about the character assumed Deadman was human and that was his spirit form rising out of him instead of being a full ghost.

Instead it has a tiny peg that is specifically designed to plug into Deadman's back and I don't know of any other figure that has one in the same place

What are decent TAS Batman figures? I have this one that I snagged on clearance a while ago and just finally got around to getting him out. Tried to remove the head to replace the cape with some cloth and the peg snapped. The way it broke was weird though. Like I think it would have snapped just turning the head normally after a while instead of from adding a bit of pull to it as well. After fiddling with screws and some various other things I finally got the head fixed and fucked with the cape. It can't crunch forward worth a shit though. If there's any better out there that isn't stupidly priced I'd really like to know.

He is on sale at a few places. Definitely worth 15 bucks. Articulation is more limited than the average dcmv figure but at least he looks correct and isn't botched or reuse. The cape is especially impressive

Not yet, they are releasing the later season version first and then the early seasons one will be done later. They do this because they know if they do the early one first (the one everyone wants) then everyone will buy that and not bother buying the new adventures one later. Like mafex released the age of apocopes magneto first, then put p for pre-order the classic magneto later.

The only other choice for BTAS bats is DC Collectables line.

The only toys I'd collected before now is Lightning Collection figures and a slight dabble into Marvel Legends for my dad but I've long since stopped caring about those because I don't like Hasbro anymore. I haven't really taken DC anything seriously since New 52 in 2011.

to be fair, Hasbro's HasLab shit is basically stuff that RETAILERS don't want to carry.
HasLab is that outlet for toys retailers refuse to carry and the limited orders by being direct to consumers increases their price. Whether that price is actually market value when they sell 10,000+, who really knows.

So McFarlane is getting dat retailer support to sell medium scaled vehicles in stores, unlike Hasbro, thus the price is pretty cheap.

It has to be as basic as possible to keep the price down-- then retail might bite and then they would get further cost reduction due to the huge order quantities retail provides that will boost them way over MOQ. They already decided these things are not going to retail when they're in the design process

It's easy to assume that the gimmicks were added on AFTER they pitched it to retail years ago, when the character was still relevant. So the electronics and fire effects were added for HasLab, in order to please collectors and justify the high price. Same way they have stretch goals.

But who really knows, except for the fact that HasLab exists because retailers aren't interested (or interested enough to actually start production, because minimum orders is a thing).

It's akin to exclusives, which exist to make retailers order more of a product.
