>>10315882>MMS-tier paint applicationsOk now, this is an example “overly exaggerated” responses I was talking about. MMS is literally known for a lack of paint or just outright spray painting the figures, which isn’t what’s going on with Hiyas. Hiya is using a couple different paints with a light dry brush to highlight the top of the fur, which is effective. Is there any outright bad paint splotches, or badly painted eyes (looking at monsterarts)? I haven’t seen any.
I don’t see the issue that you have and if there is any comparison, it’d be more comparable to a Neca and how they usually do paint apps on furs; look at the American Werewolf In London figure for example. Monsterarts would be a better comparable to MMS because they’re extremely hit or miss on paint apps or just outright lacking of paint on releases.
> near Playmates-tier articulationThat’s just a flat out lie objectively. It’s articulation is much more, yet again, comparable to a Neca. It’s a little more limited to Neca Kong but one: necas has more points of articulation. And two: it’s a completely different design with different proportions that allow that articulation. This is another exaggeration.
I think our standards on what constitutes as good are much different than each other’s and I’d be willing to believe the concept of good probably gets mixed around with the concepts of great, amazing, excellent, etc., to you and most people (this is my assumption, I could be wrong about you). I make a clear distinction between all of this.
