I have bought a recolor simply because I like it more then the original release. Then sold the original because I am not really about having alot of the same character or sculpt.

already had the first release of this Doc Ock, but this one came with brighter colors, more accessories, and Silk is a great figure.

Yeah, the mini comic figures in motu origins. Back when I was in my 20s I collected storm troopers, lots of slight variations there. Oh yeah, I'll buy a few color variants of transformers if I really enjoy the figure.

If there's a mold I particularly like and it has a decent number of recolors that are reasonably accessible then I usually try to buy all of them, or at least as many as I can. I'll even buy doubles sometimes.

Ironically, one of the only two times has been Ezio from Revelations in Teal since I had 2 in black and Brotherhood in white. Other than that, I went with the McFarlane Nightwing in red, mainly for Red Hood, but also since I already had the Arkham City one in blue.

I wanted the normal plane raziel neca figure from soul reaver but by the time I started finding the lines in fye or otherwise, they only had the spectral plane one left and I settled for it, but since it was clear plastic he yellowed.
